Hello all,

Just letting you know about perhaps one of the bigeest snapshots of recent times and in my opinion one of the best.


Updates

• Added sandstone stairs
• All NPC villages are now biome specific. (Desert ones made of sandstone etc)
• Added emerald ore (NOTE - Emerald ore is currently 25x rarer than diamonds)
• Added NPC trading (uses emeralds)
• Added emeralds as a form of currency
• Added a new structure - Desert Temples
• Added ender chests (see below for info)
• Added /seed command to view your seed
• Changed gravel texture
• A few terrain changes
• No longer need server.jar for singleplayer
• Golden apple recipe change (Now 2 different levels of golden apple)
• Stars are more realistic
• Flat snow available in creative mode

Ender chests are basically a portable inventory - If you put 1 ender chest down in one location and one in another. The item will be avaliable in both chests. If you place an item in an ender chest and then destroy the chest the item will be saved inside the chest thus making it like a backpack.

Desert temples also have a secret. Not telling what though

Time for a new snapshot! One big difference this time is that you don’t need the server jar to play single-player. Also,

• Villagers will trade items (they are cheap bastards, though!)
• Added a “currency item”
• A few minor terrain changes
• A new useful block/item (requires obsidian)
• Added a /seed command for showing the map seed
• Added sandstone stairs
• A lot of smaller changes and fixes

you know, i rly like the sandstone npc towns but i think the roads should stay gravel there, too much sandstone is blending together you cant tell the roads from adam.
also cocoa beans are my candy wall, ive claimed it first, just saying, its in my thread so nyah!
has anyone checked yet to see if you can make emerald blocks for decoration?

they are now... thats what the snapshot does, and thats what we were talking about

I know. I was thinking it was only sandstone as opposed to all the biomes. I'll try to get a screenshot up of a Taiga village or a Jungle village.

ive never found a village in either of those biomes, have you?

I don't either of those biomes are flat enough for a village to naturally spawn there.

No, there are villages in jungles. They are rare though
