Mistress of Magic, She of the Stars, The Night Sky, The Unknown Expanse

Once, a Goddess of magic and the arcane stood strong in the night sky, empowering mortals with the ability to use their abilities from the energy within them. But upon this magic becoming unchecked, her destruction was sought after, and the largest icon in the night sky that represented her was fractured: The Moon. The magic waned and faltered for many years after then, but as another crept in to snatch the broken moon, magic found itself re-emerging amongst the mortals of the world, and so those broken pieces began to seek purpose, identity.

Through the assistance of mortals, the domains of the fallen moon were recovered, elements of power brought back into one court. Whilst the moon was taken, held by a stronger being, her own power continued to grow and more began to dedicate their casting to this new identity. Showing herself to those chosen few with robes of deep purples and blues, her mask showing the fractured split from moon to night sky, she set them on tasks to further rebuild and reclaim what was lost.

In time, she found the strength to seek out what remained of her former self, and two parts united to become one. She was not the same as Old, but she was new, reformed and with power of her own. With her merging came her Ascension, something on par with the Old Gods but outside the great Pantheon.
