The cynical population of 7 million Centuriusians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The medium-sized, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Industry, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 26.3%, but much higher for the wealthy.
The strong Centuriusian economy, worth 365 billion Radiants a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing.
