Nevermind the killing bit, -attempting- to, yes.
And, the Engem and Lokhan have some history, considering Lokhan killed the bride out of jealousy (if I remember correctly), a while back..
So, the Highland guard would indeed attack Lokhan, simply to try and stop history from repeating itself.
