Kukri, sounds more of a blade name than parang (which sounds lore like a weird pet or companion) and gladius sounds ok but seems to standard a name. Also it depends on the sort of blade your character is going to carry, is it a samurai sword or something more western like a broad sword, longsword ect. Also take into consideration your character story/ background (if you have one) even if he is a westerners he could carry a blade from Japan or something equally fancy, just bare in mind that you will have to come up with a cool reason

My character comes from the dunes. i have one just im constantly changing it because im retarded.
