Asla.
Childhood friend of Erik the Slayer.
Raised in Rorikstead. She is a Nord, through and through.

Her mission?

Go say hello to mother.

Its complicated.
Asla was never a good child. She ran away from home early on, Solitude life did not agree with her. Thus she grew up mostly in Rorikstead, keeping in touch via letters. But Erik's influence has grown on her. She, too, wishes to travel, battle and adventure... get away from this boring old farmland.

And drink every drink on the way!

The journey to Solitude from Rorikstead is surprisingly short. One bandit camp. Dragonbridge. You are there.

Mom became a Priestess in the 'Temple of the Eight.' She doesn't approve of my faith in the true Ninth God.
But she still loves me.

( The mod chooses random NPCs that look similar it seems )
But dad wasn't here.
He apparently became a wizard in the College of Winterhold.

Well, time to travel to Winterhold.
Unfortunately the roads from Solitude to Winterhold weren't as safe.

I did meet some friends.
Tried a bottle of Skooma I found too.

I was excited to see dad.

But they wouldn't let me in.
Mages only. Gotta pass some test.
I don't know magic, so...

...How do I meet dad.

At least I got to try a lot of unique drinks at every tavern on the way here.

Asla tried sneaking into the College. That didn't work. She almost fell off the cliffs and died.
She tried becoming Thane by questing, but even then, the College didn't care.

Darnit dad.

Well, back to being an adventurer.

Oh.

Thane twice in one week? Certified hero of Skyrim!

On a more serious note, killing a dragon and absorbing its soul was quite a shocker.
I wish I could tell Dad.

Traveled up the 7000 steps and met the Greybeards, who are teaching Asla the way of the voice.
Meditation now and again isn't horrible. But I really wish I could meet dad.
Surely being Last Dragonborn means we can enter the College now, right?

at least we got to try some amazing drinks on the way.

Did I say meditation?
I meant Skooma!

Asla does not often take skooma, for it is addictive.
But when she does, it does certainly feel good.

Asla continued her adventure toward Riften. Killed a dragon on the way, fought (god it took me forever) Falmer in a very deep cavern.

Since Asla's dad is a wizard, she has magic going through her blood. She has been training healing magic, restoration, which certainly helps in a pinch.

When in Riften, she drank hard.

And met a very cool friend!

Asla made friends with a purple Khajiit who was, admittedly, suicidal at first... but he seemed to warm up to life through adventure.
He made a good point about dragons.

In the hunt for dragons, we actually encountered a rather friendly dragon.
Asla is beginning to understand these are not mere beasts, but diverse scaled beings whom have ancient culture lost to time.

So after trying some drinks--

--Asla made her way to the College of Winterhold to meet her dad.

They finally let her in!
Not because she was Thane, but because she was Dragonborn.

And her dad was...

The Arch-Mage.

Huh.

With the knowledge now that her father is a powerful Dark Elf wizard who runs the College of Winterhold ... her mother is a priestess of the Eight in Solitude... Asla is very conflicted about her own journey, spirituality and so forth. Which blood side does the dragonblood even come from?

Anyway, back to being Dragonborn.

To follow the Way of the Voice, Master Arngeir has encouraged pacifism.
Thus, Asla has attempted diplomacy with even the meanest of foes.

But some just cannot be diplomatically pleased, especially when they are responsible for killing.

What is a warrior to even do but fight?
Dragons roam the skies, burning and killing, bandits everywhere, its a bit of a nightmare.

Skyrim still remains beautiful, even with all its problems.

And full of alcohol!

But Asla's parenthood and somewhat occasional Skooma usage has made her ponder.

There is more to explore beyond Skyrim.

Thus, with Inigo in tow, she found a Khajiit caravan to start traveling with back to their homeland.
Maybe the journey might enlighten her and give her peace of mind.

Elsweyr has taught Asla one thing: Thalmor occupation is a very horrible thing and the Stormcloaks, albeit wrong in their racism, are probably right to fight the Thalmor out of Skyrim..

The jungles were very inhospitalable, as too were the sands. It was a difficult journey, but an enlightening one.

Asla returned to Skyrim with a renewed sense of purpose.

To stop the dragons... and to stop the Thalmor.

All with Inigo by her side.

I was looking forward to playing Asla again after my Shattered Skyrim experiment.

However, this playthrough is now dead as the saves no longer function, putting me in endless loading screens, most likely because the sheer amount of mods between Shattered and this playthrough stopped me from playing.

Poor Asla.
Guess she died to a Weeping Angel.
