~History Time!~
When first talking about young Stephiir's position, his name, and his life, we must first go back to his parents. Jake and Sandra Garretson were married at a young age, (for modern standards), Jack being sixteen and Sandra being fifteen. There, Jake's father worked as a shoemaker in a small village in the southern region of the continent. Unfortunately for our poor Stephiir's father, his grandfather's home burned down in an accidental fire, leaving them poor and in serious debt to the local lord. At the time of such disaster, Stephiir's parents had been married eight months prior, and were living all in the same house. (Stephiir's grandmother had died during childbirth.) In serious threat of just being enslaved in a cycle of serfdom and endless debt, as was his grandfather's realized fate, he paid for Jake and Sandra to follow a passing Halfling caravan to wherever their next major stop was. On the ride, they grew to love the exiting life of the Halflings, and convinced the elder woman to employ them as hired hands. Not ever getting off at their intended stop, they worked lifting supplies and caring for the ponies the Halflings rode. There, they lived quite a nice, carefree life, traveling through many towns in the southern part of the continent, and becoming quite well assimilated into the caravan culture. Throughout the few years they traveled together, they grew to become good friends with the elder. It was in year three in their journey, Jake was nineteen and Sandra was eighteen, Jake believed himself to be able to afford having a child, and, what felt like only a few months later, Sandra was pregnant. As this relatively sad tale goes, six months into Sandra's pregnancy, Jake became violently ill, with large black bumps covering his skin. In the three weeks of his illness, Jake grew weaker and weaker, until he finally died two weeks before his twentieth birthday. Now alone, Sandra had her child without the father ever being able to see young Stephiir. Thinking it only fitting to be raised in a complete household, she gave her infant child to a pair of members in the caravan who's child had died just months after being born. Their names being Phil and Greta Raggond. After the loss of the love of her life, Sandra became extremely depressed, and she "died of a broken heart" as Stephiir's adopted father would tell him. (When in fact she killed herself a month after Stephiir being born.)

Now onto Stephiir's life. From an early age Stephiir was quite the rascal. Always jolly and rambunctious, Stephiir never felt a difference between him and the young Halflings. (Besides being quite taller than them.) He was told he was a human, but he really didn't care, as his entire life had been with these people. At the age of five he learned how to play the Mandolin quite well, and began playing it at nights for his "family" of Phil and Greda. He was not pampered, for they did not have too much money to exactly buy much, but they got by on selling charms and novelties to easily conned and superstitious peasants. At the age of seven he became so good that he would play his violin to whomever in the caravan would listen, which gave him the nickname "The little bard." In every town he would go he would try to play with the other children, and so developed to be quite an open-minded person. (Although, it should be said his adopted parents- and therefor he, were quite racist towards elves after an elf had killed their great-grandfather.) At age fourteen he had saved up enough money to buy a three-stringed instrument similar to a violin, and became quite adept at playing such by sixteen. The next year he felt confident enough to actually play for money- which earned him quite a small income off of tips and free beers in village taverns. Sadly, just like his great-grandfather's fate, the caravan ran out of money and supplies due to several bad months, leaving him stranded in quite a poor town to the south of Mockingbay.

Stephiir would soon travel to Mockingbay, taking up residence in their sewer, while scraping by a few rads by either begging or pick-pocketing. He would subsequently spend all of said money at the tavern, getting quite drunk while making quite the number or friends. Some of these including Ava the noble, Athena the guard, and Geralt the smith. Such life ended soon after it started however, as in a few days after a long night of drinking he fell in love with a woman by the name of Storm, who was both in a relationship with another man, (Althalos,) and recently detained for assaulting a guard. Did this stop Stephiir from trying however? No. He then traveled with a number of men looking to free Storm because she was to be enslaved, a practice outlawed in a city of which she is a citizen in- Valerius. He worked a deal where he would be an informant for the Consul Brutus to tell what happened to Storm, and to attempt to save her life if anything should happen to her. It soon turned out her master Ava was also discus ted with the practice, and Storm, Ava, Stephiir, and a man by the name of Marwin, (later revealed to be named Ronn,) left for Valerius. There, they enjoyed a few weeks of happiness in the tavern where they simply stole all the booze they could drink. One night, Storm took him outside the city in the middle of the night, and under the single tree in the valley next to the town Stephiir had his first kiss. Such created the slow maturity of Stephiir, as he now longed to stay with her and be with her forever. Later the next night while both had drank a rather large amount of rum, Storm and Stephiir would beat up a friend of Ava, tie him up, throw him into Storm's rented room's closet, and then take their relationship just a bit farther upon the bed Althalos also sometimes slept, in the same room as the unconscious man. After that night the band would leave for Sandru, Stephiir taking up residence in the tavern's second room.

To Stephiir's great surprise, Storm had no romantic interest in him, and even on her birthday when Stephiir ordered a custom made and extremely expensive necklace for Storm's birthday, she flat out refused it. In a great confusion and depression, Stephiir spent the next two days drunk or asleep, going through nearly all the bottles of wine in the bar. One evening, a friend he had met in Mockingbay- Athena, gave him quite the counseling which mostly consisted of mother-like barking and motivational speech, he snapped out of this mood. This would cement Stephiir's great respect and friendship with Athena. Surprisingly, despite their former relationship Storm and Stephiir would become great friends, chatting at the bar over a few pints of ale. The following weeks Stephiir spent doing odd-jobs around the town, notably spending a lot of time with Athena, whom he had grown quite fond of, he soon believing to had fallen in love with her. Athena revealed her name used to be Jugo (Jew-go), which he would then on use instead of Athena.

In the tournament of Erebau, which was the farthest he's ever been up north, when Jugo accidentally killed one of her good friends in a joust, Stephiir would search for her after she ran off into the snowy winter night. Finding her alone, he talked with her until she fell asleep, him watching over her sleeping body that night. When they got back to Sandru, he found Athena having drank twelve mugs of whiskey and depressed by a halfling's mobile tavern. He then offered to carry Athena to his room in the Inn, and let her sleep while he went out of town, jokingly also adding he'll get her more whiskey if she'll just go to sleep and not act on this grief. Alice the barmaid, whom was standing next to him accused him of attempting to rape Jugo, making him furiously yell her off, and buying a separate room for Jugo instead. Carrying her armor and all, he struggled up the stairs and letting her down in that room, ordering her to sleep as he walked out of the room. She then refused, demanding she be let out. He then denied her, blocking the door, as he knew she was very drunk. She eventually relented and went to sleep, him then walking out and downstairs to the bar, apologizing to Alice for yelling at her, and ordering a mug of rum. Later, he heard Athena call him upstairs to her room, where she demanded he get in bed with her. He did such with great protest, as he wasn't sure if she wall still drunk. He eventually was dragged into bed with her. A few hours later when he awoke they talked, ate a rather large breakfast, telling each other of their love, and falling back asleep quickly, for neither of them had much sleep the previous night.

Waking up the next morning alone, he was rather confused. He continued his average routine, working manual labor and wondering where she went. Later, he would contact a hired hand of lady Alison Kane, who hired him to work at the ball in Queen'sport. He went to go look for Jugo soon a few says after- to Mockingbay and the surrounding countryside . He could not find one sight of her. Quite saddened, he returned to Sandaru, and went for a few drinks. There, he found Storm, who he chatted with, and who dared him to drink as much as he can. That night, he drank so much he would forget all that happened, but Storm led him up to Ava and her's room, where they slept together. The next day he would have a raging headache, and in attempting to get a cup of tea from ava in some vain to gain some relief from the hangover, he gave enough context to inform Ava on what went on- without him knowing what went on. Later that night he found Storm at the bar, where he tried to talk to her. She kept running away until she finally told him what happened. They then chatted, where she demanded he kill her. When he denied her, she promptly drew her dagger and threatened to kill herself. He then took the dagger, stabbed it into the ground, and pleaded with her not to kill herself, throwing his arms around her and sobbing. She finally relented, saying she would not kill herself. She then promptly walked back downstairs to the bar, where she drank until she passed out, Stephiir watching nervously. Stephiir, still loving Storm, carried her to his house, where he laid her on his bed with some extra blankets and went to read a book until she woke up. When she woke up, she quickly told him she wanted to go, only after agreeing to have tea with him some time.

Two days later, still no Sign of Jugo, he heads off to Queen'sport to attend the ball. On the way, he meets a person in a town just north of Sandaru, who he became quite friendly with nerding out over music. (Steph never asked for his name.) Arriving
in Queensport he promptly went to work setting up for the ball to come a few days later. At the ball he would work quite diligently, earning a large amount of coins and meeting a new friend- Bell. When he came back there was still no sign of Jugo. When he got back he started working more and more at the tavern, earning a fair wage at that. He chatted with Ava some about his relationship with Jugo, eventually being convinced the thing was over. During the time, as he walked outside the town walls he was robbed by a man with an axe, searching for nwalme and finding he was confronting the man just beside the new market. He then aided Nwalme in fighting the robber, as Nwalme refused to hand over his money, reaching for his kukuri. Stephiir would block off the escape, and as Nwalme and the man were fighting, Nyllarii came over and beheaded the man, leaving Stephiir the corpse to burn. The next day, Stephiir would be robbed while working the bar by a man with a sickle. A few days following this the man returned with Stephiir's money, but after sassing Ava and refusing to remove his mask, the man and Ava got into a fight, stephiir intervining, jumping on the man, kneeing him in the crotch, having the man impale himself with his own sickle, and forcing him to the ground. There, Ava drove a crossbow bolt into his eye, killing him and leaving the corpse to Stephiir to burn. Just an hour after this, when Ava and Stephiir were burning the corpse out of town, Althalos showed up and punched Stephiir in the face, and having Stephiir scream in surprise. This alerted the nearby Ava into coming over to see the trouble. Ava then shot Althalos after much argument, then stabbing her rapier through Althalos's arm, and into his neck. Stephiir once again, burned this corpse, taking Althalos's silver ring. Jugo would show up only a week later, with a leg missing and much damage to her face. Stephiir greeted her coldly and left as soon as possible.

The next week Stephiir would go down to Eisenheim, where he would find his friend-met semi-regular Shale from the bar. There they talked, Stephiir for once sliding in a tad of witty flirting into his remarks. This eventually turned to gossip, while Stephiir tried to convince Shale to work at the next ball he would be working in Amalfia by showing how much juicy gossip there was at the balls. They were disturbed from their talk by a girl saying there was an injured boy, running over Stephiir found the boy on the ground, with a minor scrape and busted lip. He offered the boy a damp cloth, and tried to ask him if he could stand. While this was going on, Shale got into an argument with a noble from Mockingbay, both of them calling each other whores. Just as this stressful moment happened, Althalos showed up. Stephiir, thinking he might be dead, asked Shale if she had a weapon, to which she responded with taking out her sword. They then both managed to avoid Althalos, walking out of the town with Althalos confronting them. (The cat fight also ended with the draw of the sword.) They yelled at each other for a moment, before both parties walking off. After walking sufficient distance out of town, Stephiir explained why Althalos was after him- for having an affair with Storm, and murdering Althalos. Once Stephiir asked what he could do to thank Shale for her protecting him from Althalos, she asked him to take her out on a date, and find a good bath house. They then proceeded to walk the days walk back to Sandaru, where they immediately visited the bathhouse. Both undressing in front of each other with zero awkwardness, and chatting while bathing in the Sandaru public baths about Stephiir's love life. Shale then departed after a long talk, smiling and promising she'll see him later.

He would then not see shale for a few weeks, Stephiir inevitably giving up on her. He ran into a recruiter for another ball, quickly signing up to work at it in a few weeks. While at the bar, he ran into Storm who seemed a bit more flirtatious than normal, and they ended up in bed together again within a few hours. Just like last time, Stephiir was once again fully in love with her. After a few days of being together with nothing going on, they decided to take a vacation to Amafalia, where they were kindly offerd the servants quarters to stay at, as a bonus for working the ball in a few weeks. They would eventually come back well rested, where lord Nwalme put Stephiir back to work, this time along with a new friend named Creak, as a Steward of sorts while Nwalme was out looking for rocks. Two weeks later Stephiir left full command to Creak while he went off to staff the ball in Amafalia.

A song to describe him:

Relationship Status: Pretty much free and single, but is currently courting a fine woman named Shale.
How does this work...?
Courting is the period before marriage.
How could one be single/free while courting? That would be an 'open relationship', and I don't think those would be appreciated in Medeival Times.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks very much, I was really tired when I wrote this so I appreciate you catching it.
When I get access to the computer I will change it to somethin like "attempting to pursue Shale" or the like.
