PHYSIOLOGY:
Build: 5’10 tall, and thin - she doesn’t eat much. Although skinny-looking, she carries herself boldly and has a strong, determined stance. She looks a few years older than her real age.
Feathers: Her feathers are entirely black, with a sheen of lilac and green in certain lights. Her hairfeathers are fairly long, growing backwards and ending just below her neck.
Eyes: Very dark brown, beady eyes.
Skin: Black, covered in dark, shiny feathers.
Wings: Her wings are pure black, with sheens of purple, green, and white, much like a raven's wings but more iridescent. They are quite long, but fairly narrow.
Appearance: She holds herself proudly for a PoMakani. Her feathers are quite eye-catching sometimes.
Clothing: She wears some loose, red-maroon robes tied at her arms which reach to her knees, without hindering movement.
Weaponry:
Prized Possessions: She has a leather belt worn around her waist, with a pouch which carries a few berries or herbs, and a holder for her dagger.
QUALITIES AND FLAWS:
Strengths: Perceptive, intelligent, quick-witted, independent. She is a fast runner among her kin, and has the Makani's incredible sense of sight.
Weaknesses: Skeptical, distrusting, unwilling to accept help. She has brittle, breakable bones, and being quite thin and lean she seems almost fragile.
Fears: Growing old and losing her ability to glide, or losing her sharpness of mind.
Intelligence: She is sharp.
Languages: Yakai. She knows absolutely no Common.

ETHICS AND MOTIVATIONS:
Personality: She is often distrusting, leading to her being seen as cold. However, with friends, she is quick-witted and has a good sense of humour. She is also very loyal.
Values: She values honesty, loyalty, and people who are upfront about their intentions. She values nature above most things, and fate above all.
Religion or Cults: Manna and the Three Sisters - although she grows more skeptical about Manna’s will, seeing the injustices it causes. It is an inner turmoil inside herself - doubting Manna's good intentions, yet struggling against what she has been taught all her life.

BACKSTORY:
Suva grew up the daughter of two PoMakanis, bonded for life. Their love was incredibly strong, only reinforced by the birth of their daughter, and Suva looked upon them with admiration. When Manna willed famine to come, it became apparent they had not hoarded enough in their tiny home. Her father, a farmer, worked himself to death, trying to draw food from the earth. As a young child she listened to the A’keiyah saying, “his death was meant, for Manna willed it so” and she knew they were right. Yet she couldn’t help but look at her mother’s face, the face of a woman who had lost the world, and wonder why Manna was so cruel.
She was taught to gather all sorts of food at a young age. It led to her becoming knowledgeable of the world around her, a fast runner, and fairly proficient with a knife. She also learnt to be satisfied with her own company.
She was very close to her mother, being an only child, and especially so after the death of her father. They had even less food after that - she learned to get by on very little. However, she always made sure her mother had enough - even if it meant going without.
Over her childhood she enjoyed listening to the LeiMakani with their rich storytelling, and she heard many stories about the groundling demons who Manna had saved them from. She is curious, in a way, but definitely holds a deep-rooted hatred and distrust of the foreign demons.
She was scared when the Disaster came - in the crush and panic, she became separated from her mother. She tried to be brave, even though she was now in unknown territory - the land of the groundlings.
