A new initiative by the SO team, to help develop and increase daily login on the server.

[The Dailies Explained]

It is the goal of the new Landing Dailies initiative by the SO team to create fun, random, and unique events centered around spawn that occur at random times throughout the day. The purpose of this is with two goals in mind:​

​

[ x ] To bring players online and feel a sense of initiative to login, finding things to do when there are events not scheduled.​

​

[ x ] Introducing New Players to our world through events that cater to teaching our systems, our plugins, and our lore.​

​

[What to Expect]

At times, during the day, you may find someone with the title [ SL DM ] appear within an area of the Landing. This will signal that an event will be occurring. Members of the SO team will be brainstorming and taking part in these events. If it is something you wish not to participate in, that is fine - please let the DM know.​

​

There will be two types of events, at a 60/40 rate:​

​

[ x ] Non-Combat Storytelling Events: These things center around the lore, exciting NPC's, small mysteries, & more throughout the Landing.​

​

[ x ] Combat Events: These are your combat-oriented events that will feature things such as bandits, gangs, and the like. There will be IC possibilities to deal with threats without the need for combat in these scenarios, but it is up to your character to help drive these things along!​

​

[Player Contribution]

This initiative will also be inspired by the players, for the players. If you are a player who wishes to get involved, there are a number of ways on how you can help out.​

​

[ x ] Pitching ideas to the SO team on events.​

​

[ x ] Aiding in DMing if it is something you are interested in as a player-led DM.​

​

[ x ] Getting involved with your character and creating fun arcs for them within the Landing.​

​

A pantsless fisherman from the slums area drew a bit of a crowd recently, around the docks.
Word has it he was chasing someone—or something—that took his trousers.
He was kindly lent a cloak for a time, and in the end, the trousers did get
returned, albeit with a diminutive bite mark on them.​

A distressed fireblessed came into the Tavern, convincing someone to touch a strange ring in an attempt to get them possessed in order to get his brother back. The fireblessed left when the patron resisted the possession​

A scruffy-looking dog was found charging around the Fighting Pit, in distress. It led a group of friendly onlookers to a well, where they discovered and rescued a child who had fallen in.​

Patrons of the Kraken's Den were disrupted by a drunken pair of friends, arguing about whether it's 'Evist' or 'Evicist'. The patrons helped them come to an agreement before it got too heated.​

A crone appeared in the Kraken's Den, asking for a drink in return for a fortune off of each patron. To some, she was little more than a fraud, to others, she saw what they tried to hide. Just as soon as she appeared, she disappeared, but not before taking a sip out of each drink provided by a patron​

A mad preacher started ranting outside the Kraken's Den, saying that Possessed should be murdered where they stand, among other things. After some bickering with the crowd, he left, making his way for the Slums.​

An elderly woman, a refugee from the demon incursion, approached a group with a basket of orphaned kittens. Tears were shed, but all the kittens have gone to new homes. A small bittersweet moment in these turbulent times.​
