~ Irasu ~
The City of Serpents

Region Classification: Moderate

Magistrate: Eyvind Herdsman
Irasu operates under a Colonial Magistrate who oversees the colony. This is an unelected position, and is effectively limited to the Master of the Farwater Company. This may change as the city develops.

Market: Irasu produces fishing goods primarily- from fresh fish to whaling products like ambergris for perfumes or spermaceti for candles and oil lanterns, as well as pearls. However, the city also acts as a prominent trading port in the south with the Farwater Trading Company operating out of it. The city acts as a stop for ships coming and going to the Sorrows in the south, and the Farwater Company offers to buy and sell goods from these ships.

Travel: Irasu is entirely waterlocked, and can only be reached by a ship. There is a private dock for airships at the Scholar's Tower.

History: Irasu appeared to Eyvind Herdsman in a dream. A place on the sea, built of stone. In this dream, there were platforms and pillars erected from the sea itself. It stood in beauty and solitude, and this dream moved Eyvind greatly. Afterwards, always a schemer, Eyvind set in motion a plan to recreate this dream. They rallied their finances from their various businesses and endeavors, and hired workers from the Allhammer Guild to secretly build this place of stone. While the original dream held no place for men to live, Eyvind adjusted their vision to incorporate more practical elements like housing and businesses. Once the foundations were laid, Eyvind founded the Farwater Company to take advantage of the shipping route the settlement came to rest upon.
