I actually reaaaally dislike the diaries I wrote for Evelyn. I didn't get much opportunity to go into any detail in regard to descriptive writing (which I adore to the moon and back), but found some fun in her poetic musings.
It's horribly difficult to write in first person about a character who occasionally irritates you(!), and I had to rush through the last one to get on with Norse stuff... But I just got distracted by the untold side of her story and had to write some of it down.
