drinks sourced from high end suppliers, both local and abroad, at a cost
that is fair. Indulge in the succulent treasures of the harbor, taste the

As you enjoy your time at Afterlife you may sit at any location, indoors
or outside on either of the secluded patios. For those who seek the utmost
discretion, we extend the offer of secluded privacy. Private parties are
granted the privilege of a table set apart from curious eyes and eager ears.
Here, your discussions remain secure. Tavern staff pride themselves on
their loyalty and remarkable ability to neither hear nor see anything of
interest during their time working.

If you are interested in making a deal with the owners of Afterlife you may
do so upstairs in the private area. Seek respite, indulge in a contemplative
smoke, or luxuriate in a peaceful nap before unveiling your heart's desires.
Those with business for Mr. Crowley and his associates may settle it up in the
private lounge, where ambitions are turned into reality. Within these hallowed
walls, the night is your canvas, and your desires are the masterpiece
waiting to be painted.


In the lower section of Afterlife you'll find a wider range of activities and
opportunities available. It is a sanctuary for those who tread the path of the
sinner, where judgment is left at the door and the unspoken rules of the night
reign. The smoke lounge is cocooned in suave darkness, allowing for privacy and
tranquility alike. For those with more refined desires, be they of a carnal or
economic nature, the answers also lie below. Quiet, discreet chambers are at your
disposal for uninhibited expression, while the gambling hall invites those with
the means to take a risk in order to win big. Any disputes that may arise find
their resolution in the pit—a place where only the parties involved bear the

WINES​

Vino da Passeggio
This wine is a light purple color and is quite dry and heady. It is traditionally imbibed in a small clay jug or in a wooden flask so that it may be taken around on walks around town. [Astrakhan]

Mysterium Bibe Iaxus
This wine is a deep purple and is imbibed almost exclusively by members of the Mystery Cult of Jax, who- when seen away from their secret temple at all- are found parading, dancing, and partying throughout the city on Jaxite feast days. Like many party-wines, it is incredibly strong but unlike most party wines, Mysterium is not watered down and is instead taken in excess by the Mystery Cult. It is tooth-rottingly sweet with the unique addition of an almost immediate hang-over to which further consumption is the only solution. [Astrakhan]

Desidirium Cordis
This wine, translated roughly as "Desire of the Heart", is a beautiful, rich pink color that smells of chamomile, roses, and honeysuckle. It is consumed on the feast day of Sallana by Her priests and acolytes as well as on anniversaries between Asrakosian couples. It is a delicate balance between sweet and dry and is typically a very young form of wine. [Astrakhan]

Vinus Vestitus
This purple-red wine is known as Vinus Vestitus, literally "dressed wine" due to the method of its manufacture. Vinus Vestitus is made by taking a barrel of bold, red wine and adding sugar or honey, as well as whole sticks of cinnamon, cloves, and ginger before letting it sit for a day. The spices are then filtered out through a conical sleeve of fine cloth, thus, "dressing" the wine as it falls into a container, usually a large drinking bowl. This wine is best taken hot or lukewarm to give space for the spices and is perfect for large parties where drunken cheer is best needed. [Astrakhan]

Xinomavro
Literally, "sour black" in the Asrakosian dialect, this dark purple or black wine is made with sour, purple grapes of the same name. While not quite a vinegar, it is rich in tannins and is quite acidic and vegetal in flavor. Due to the abundance in which these grapes grow, this wine is typically consumed by soldiers, usually diluted with water, honey, or other wines to make the taste palatable where it is then called "posca". It is also used as a final offering to extinguish temple braziers during funerals. It is a dour, mournful wine if ever there was one. [Astrakhan]

Roditis
A bottle of pinkish-white wine made from yellow and pink grapes in the vineyards of Astrakhan. It often tastes and smells of citrus fruits; mainly lemons, oranges, or grapefruits. Optionally it may be mixed with seasonal lemonade to create a refreshing summertime beverage. [Astrakhan]

Rich Blood Wine
It has the texture of thick wine, and a taste not dissimilar to blood, but fermented.

Festival Champagne

Landing Gin
"Bathtub gin." A strong tasteless alcohol that is cheap to produce and cheap to buy.

Sooleran Spice Mead
A strong honey taste with spices blended in to make it hotter than usual. It would be difficult to drink all in one go. Expensive, due to import, and not a drink people often get drunk to as they need to drink it slowly over the night.
