Alrich Hafrey

jumjummju

Villager
Cuz Alrich is just a totally boss name.

Name: Alrich Hafrey

Nickname/Alias: N/A (Though close friends may tease him by calling him Ally)

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 125 pounds, 57-ish kilos, 9-ish stone, etc. (Who uses stones anyway?)

Hair: Alrich's hair is a light brown, kept in a simple, short hairstyle. It's usually frizzy and unkempt but usually stays down, without any major cowlicks.

Eyes: An odd, light purple/indigo color.

Skin: Caucasian, if slightly tan from time in the sun.

Identifying Marks: His eyes are an indigo color, and he has a big scar on the front of his left calf, going from waste to upper knee.

Appearance: Alrich is not a big guy by any means. Being 5'10 and weighing 125 lbs. leaves him pretty skinny, without much fat or visible muscle. This isn't to say he has none, however. He has some degree of strength, but not too much. Any aura he may have is a very faint indigo, only noticeable to those with eyes like hawks or those who have an affinity to magic, and even then it's hard to spot. There is not much else remarkable about his body, really.

Strengths: Alrich is a smart man. He's a quick thinker, logical, and able to learn well. He also knows the basics in a lot of skills. He can cook and sew, and do other menial things to some degree, though not as well as an expert would. He is also a fast learner and reader, and he also possess minor magical affinity whether he knows about it or not.

Weaknesses and fears: Just because Alrich knows the basics of a lot, doesn't mean he's always able to do it. Even if he knows how, his own hand-eye coordination or lack of muscle may play a detriment, the former being below average. He also may know about something, but not how to do it. For instance, he knows about magic, but doesn't actually know about it.

Physically, he lacks much muscle or girth and doesn't have much endurance or mass to himself. Also, the big scar on his left leg, while not posing a serious threat, does slow him down slightly were he to run for a while, as it would start to hurt. He also suffers from mild arachnophobia.

Religion and cults: The scholar he is, he prefers to learn and study about the gods and goddesses, meaning he knows about quite a lot of religions. He also tends to hold a scholarly skepticism about most of them, too, not holding any in a high belief, but believing they are probably possible.

Profession: Previously, he was a blacksmith's assistant, usually cutting wood.

Backstory: Alrich grew up in a kingdom from far away. The economy there wasn't necessarily rich, but it certainly wasn't poor, so Alrich was able to enjoy a nice lifestyle in his early years, and was able to attend a school, where he learnt basic studies such as reading, writing, math, and the likes. After he learned to read, he found out that he loved to do it, and would spend most of his free time in the library, reading a lot. He would read most everything, to the point where the librarian would joke that the library was soon going to run out of books for him.

When he became older, he started to work as a smithy's assistant. He rarely got to do any actual smithying, as he usually just cut wood, but at least that provided some form of a workout for him, so he would have some muscle. His first week though, he had a catastrophic accident. He missed the log entirely, and hit himself in the left leg's calf, making a deep wound. He was able to survive and heal, but the scar still persists and causes pain if he overly taxes that leg.

After several years of this, he felt like he had nothing left to learn from books, seeing as he had read most of them. Were you to ask the librarian about him, she could be quoted as saying "He knows what he knows, he knows what he doesn't know, and he won't hesitate to tell you about either."

What Alrich really wanted was experience, which could only be taught by actually doing it, however, rather than by reading about it. He especially wanted training in magic, and there were no magical professors of any kind in his kingdom. So, when he was able to afford a trip, he took one over to Altera, where he heard about places you could learn.

NOTE: All the references to indigo or purple, namely his eyes and faint aura, is intentional. Indigo is the color of knowledge, which fits well with his profile.
