Backstory: He was raised in the nether because his parents were a part of a cult that believes that the nether is the source of fire. So he was raised into this cult and obviously became a part of it. After many years of training he had believed that he had found the secrets of mastering fire. In an attempt to prove this to his cult he constructed a pyre and proceeded to light it on fire with him on top of it. The pyre burned, and so did he, his cult thought him dead and did not bury him due to their afterlife rituals (which is burning corpses). After several hours of lying there he came back into consciousness, upon noticing how bad he was burned he called his experiment a failure and wrapped himself in bandages and shame. He roamed for hours looking for his cult but could not find them and considered himself unworthy, he then stumbled upon a strange portal and he curiously stepped through it into the land of Altera.
