Local chat is now default. Only those with a radius of 100 blocks of each other will hear each other.
Players can /sh /shout a message to the world. Chatter globally should be kept to a minimum and should be OOC at all times. When using local chat you should be in roleplay mode at all times where possible. If you need to step out of character you should begin your sentence with (OOC)
