Hello friends! We apologise for the long delay in newsletters and general updates, its something we're aware of and working on and hope that this newsletter can provide a bit of insight into whats currently going on and planned for the future here on Hollowworld. As this Newsletter will be focused on an update to the community, there will be no IC news or Challenge sections this month. Keep an eye out for those in future editions, though!
Welcome to the March 2024 edition of the Hollowworld Newsletter!....
[ SERVER UPDATES ]
As we stated above, we're aware of the current lapse in activity, updates, and transparency. A vast majority of the staff team has needed a break for one reason or another, be it real life or otherwise, and whilst this is usually entirely manageable it has became problematic with most of the team leads also battling this same issue for themselves as well as their respective team members. It is with hope that this newsletter can reassure many of you that things are not going to remain this way for the foreseeable, though, with assurances that the teams will be discussing amongst themselves in regards to activity and next steps over the next few weeks.
The survey posted in January will also be reviewed in full shortly, and the respective teams can consider the feedback provided as they move forwards.
If there are folks who wish to join staff, we encourage you to make a discord ticket and do so. We'll gladly review them!

EVENTS,
The events team have closed the old 'event request' thread and opted to try a new system with a focus on DMs deciding what events to host and players participating that way. In essence, a DM will post the event arc/idea they're hosting, and players can contact them to partake in them accordingly with discord tickets. If you represent a party of people, only you should make the ticket. You can see the thread and more information [HERE] !
Solus and xVigil have worked on an optional 'DM's Guide to Beasts' thread as well to help those DMing. Check that out [HERE] !
The thread 'Events and You' has been updated in regards to what creatures and entities you're able to use in events - Check it out [HERE] !

DIVINE;
The Divine team is returning from an unexpected hiatus due to real life becoming very busy for every member of the team. The priority right now is monitoring the release of the new rank-up guidelines that will hopefully help streamline applications, and catching up on tickets.

ARCANE;
The Arcane team has resumed work on custom spell submissions and magic applications after its break, with the reigns temporarily shifting from Arget Istalri to TheDeester. There's currently some ongoing discussion regarding animancy but the focus is expected to be the tickets (customs, gestalts, so on).

LORE;
The Lore team as a whole is mostly quiet at the moment with its priorities focused on Arcane and Events accordingly. One update however is that Solus will be wrapping up the faction tech tickets and entries this month for those who've been so patient. Makani are now an unrestricted race (meaning you don't need an application to play one), whilst Constructs are now classed as 'endangered' and will become unavailable for new characters soon. The languages thread has been updated also, now to include 'Sign' as an option for some players. Be sure to check it out [HERE] - And see other information on lore updates on the change log [HERE]!

SERVER OUTREACH;
The Server Outreach team is currently focused around its work on Storm's Landing, be it fixing up the houses/rent system or the Cathedral project. It is also however actively searching for people to join the team and work on various projects around spawn!
Currently Working On:
][ Elz will be organising an opening ceremony for the new upcoming Cathedral! It'll be this month sometime.
][ Restarting the Council Elections! Date TBA.
][ Finishing up sending payments to players for both Hollowtober and the Cathedral submissions. Thanks for your patience!
