Strange red lighting

Using optifine HD C4, and hollow world texture pack.

Strange red-lighting effect that is pervasive and annoying.
Examples:

So yea, anyone know how I get rid of this red haze at the edge of lighting?

I believe it's something in optifine, conflicting with Minecraft's smooth lighting xD I've had this before, not exactly sure how to fix it D:

Indeed not.
I have determined it is an effect caused by HW texture pack, that simply only becomes noticeable with Optifines updated lighting.
For this effect did not show up while on the default pack.

cant see it myself. it could be due to torches and thier colours

Turn off natural colors , that should fix it.
