Mercy, eager to be liked, is easily influenced and prone to falling in with the wrong crowd. It was such a crowd that caught her in a tavern one night and talked her ear off about the corruption of nobility. They fed into her existing anger and envy towards those of noble birth, an envy that they felt deep in their cores and that they soon intensified in her. They earnt her trust, and it was trust that brought her wounded palm to one of theirs, their blood mingling in an odd sort of pact. She was welcomed into their inner circle of strong ideals, her participation sealed by feeding on a kidnapped noble woman.
