Right then, if we're doing ~opinions~, have some of mine.
Firstly, I'd like to point out that the "2 or 3" people that are writing the Lore are doing a fantastic job of doing so. There have been hiccups,to be sure, but - actually thinking about it - have any of these been incited by the lore team? No, they've been incited by playerbase reactions.
As much as everyone having a say sounds lovely and shiny, it just won't work. Take it as a comlpliment! These guys are having the hard task of moderating the creavity of... what? 40, 50, 60 regular players? And nobody here is stupid, nobody here has no imagination, everyone could probably manage to write some passable lore. But the fact is everyone here also has individual ideas, and while this is great, if every single one was taken into account, RP would look like a jumble sale for old books and sci-fi films; it would be nothing short of chaos.
The lore is not finished because we haven't given the team a chance.
How do you all expect them to do their job while you fight them and question them at every corner?
How can you expect change when these ideas have to be fought for, thread by bleeding thread?
Have a little faith in these guys.
When people actually use their eyes and look at the RPs that have happened over the past few months, they are so much better in quality than the past "attack of the fluffy were-jaguar fairy doctor demons" (this has happened...). Some of the server events have been incredible, and the in game mysteries have been intriguing. And, no, not everyone has worked everything out, not everyone has managed to overcome every challenge. You're not supposed to, folks! That's why it's a challenge!
You all moan at newbies who think they are Ezio and Dovahkiin, moan at them for wanting to be the main character - the centre of attention all the time. Maybe it's time to start practising what you preach~?
