Keep the eyepatch.
My main reason is the same reason all stereotypical pirates and sailors have eyepatches. Y'think they all lost an eye? Naah- They did it so one eye would be pre-ajusted to the dark for going below deck, and since I'm assuming Darko is still a Pirate [Because come on, who in their right mind would quite Piracy?] it still makes sense for him to keep it, for that reason~
