Darko walked to the corner, keeping his arm around her neck and the needle weapon poking her. He wriggled his foot under his knife and kicked it up, dropping the needle and grabbing the knife in the same motion. He let go of her neck, but kept the knife pressed against it, and put on his hood. Without a word he moved to the door.
He opened the door a crack, and peered out. Clear. He walked out of the torture room and shut the door. He was in a hallway now, stairs leading up on one end, and a turn on the other end. “Which way out?” Darko asked Sera.
“Up the stairs.... I still don’t believe you think you can just walk out of here”
“Oh that’s exactly what I plan on doing” Darko said back as he slowly made his way up the stairs, which is a bit more difficult than usual with a hostage in hand. At the top of the staircase were three kids sitting around a table, they looked like they were younger than Darko. Two girls (who were obviously whores for the more perverse people in the city, based on the way they were dressed) and a boy. The boy immediately stood up as he saw them enter. “Drop her!” He yelled at Darko.
“How about this... You let me leave, or I cut her throat, then yours...” Darko said in a calmly manner. The boy reached for something under the table, probably a weapon of some sort, but Darko was faster than him, he threw Sera at him and ran quickly over, grabbing his hair and slamming his head on the table. The crack of his nose breaking wasn't enough to bring him down though, and he grabbed at Darko’s arm. Darko twisted his arm around, using a technique Azral taught him for getting out of wrist grabs, and kneed the boy in the groin, as soon as he crumpled to the ground, Darko completed the task with two heavy stomps on the boy’s skull. Darko then went over to Sera, yanking her off the ground. The two other girls were in the corner, cowering in fear.
“Stay there, and hide the body... If you tell anyone what happened, I’ll come back”
The girls nodded and ran over to the boys body, and carried it downstairs. Sera whistled at Darko, “You know you could have just left him there, you didn’t need to kill the poor bloke, I liked him, he was a good guy.”
“Good guys don’t last long...” and without another word, Darko put Sera back in the head lock, and turned the corner. He saw a three ways to go, two hallways going down on either side, or straight ahead to a closed door
“Where now?” Darko asked Sera.
“Keep going forward...” Darko walked over to the door, and swung it open.
23 pairs of eyes swung over to look at him.
“Whoops!” Said Sera smiling. “Guess I forgot about this room”
