Ok so this one is for Asero so I don't expect many responses BUT it seems fun idk
Les go

You wake up from your sleep. Rubbing your eyes, you'd look around the somewhat familiar room. Through your stay of five days so far, you've memorized most of it. The desk right by the window, your bed in the corner of the room. The various books scattered around. Walking to the dirty but still useful mirror, you gaze at your skinny, thirteen year old frame. After a few minutes of that, you realize that you're not quite sure why you're wasting your time staring at a mirror. You think, looking around the room...
Do you:

> Look out the window. A lot of people out there, there's usually always a fight happening. Due to the combatants' inexperience, it's always comedy!
> Get one of the many books scattered around. After all, you still haven't read all of them.
> Go back to bed. Nothing beats the comfy covers...

"Meh," You say in your mind, "why don't I read?" Having your decision, you move to pick up a book with a particularly pleasing shade of red on the cover. Jumping onto your bed, you open it to start reading from the first page. You read the title, A Manuscript to Insults, Quips, and Flattery. And the small lettering that accompanied it. What to say when faced with anyone; foes, friends, and pretty lasses. You grin, intrigued. Though the first few pages had some words that you didn't know the meaning of, you didn't pay kind. Too eager to get to the actual meat of the book. After reading a good portion of pages, you hear a small bump coming from behind the curtains on the window...
You:

> Shut the book quietly and move, crouching, to find out what made he sound.
> Shrug, continuing to read.
> Yell out some of the colorful insults at he curtains.

After a moment of deep philosophical thought, you run at the curtains and launch a verbal barrage of insults you just learned from the book. Though some are mixed up and most don't make sense, you feel a sense of accomplishment throughout- but then, at a small noise from the target of your words, you pause. It talks again- no, it wasn't a word... it was... "Meow!"
A cat!
You...

> Instantly move the curtain aside to get a peak at it. It must be so soft and cuddly!
> Move to get a stick. Poke the curtains. Better safe than sorry.

You think moving the curtains aside will be a good idea.

You are wrong.

The cat swipes at you, scatching your palm with his claws and drawing some blood. You jump back instantly, falling on your butt, which is actually quite cushioned and beautiful. Something you're sure the ladies will like. The cat darts out of the room, now you're unsure how it got in or when. But a glance at your hand, which was thankfully not harmed too much, make sure you focus again. Moving into the kitchen, you'd grab some bandages and wrap your hand. Remembering to rinse the cut before doing so. You look around- the main door seems to be open...
You:

> Go and check why it is open, having not learned a thing about caution from the cat encounter.
> Sneakily move behind the counter, poking your head out to survey the main room and the open door.
> Go back to your room and grab your trusty knife, then come back.

You think. Maybe this time you shouldn't investigate something suspicious without the proper gear... nodding to yourself, you quietly walk back to your room. Getting your knife from the bedside table drawer, you again make your way out. Knife held at the ready, you'd take a deep breath as you reached the main room's doorway... you step inside, the knife pointed forward- finding... no one. Except the old man laying on the floor, face down. A pool of somewhat dry blood having gathered on the wooden floor by his head, though no injury was visible from how he was laying. The door was closed now, and it seemed that the room had been rustled a bit while you were asleep. Judging by the both dried and wet bootprints of mud, someone entered in hopes of looting the place. Instead, finding an old man, they murdered said man and left, disgruntled. You sigh. Looking at the dead old man who was kind enough to take you in for these pst few days.
You...

> Kneel and say a few quick words. Hoping he will Rest In Peace.
> Go to your room, get your stuff. Then leave.

Looking again at the man on the floor, you feel pity. Kneeling, you'd close your eyes and bow your head. Whispering a few things, whatever made sense to you. But not quite mentioning the gods- they never seemed real. Why could an old man who did nothing wrong, die for no reason? Wouldn't the gods prevent that? And, if they didn't, how were they separate from murderers? Murderers weren't worshiped. After finishing, you get up to go to your room and collect your things in a small bag. Not much, but more than what you entered the home with- a few more books for sure. In the kitchen, you wrap up some food. Looking in a jar, you find a sac of money.
You...

> Take it. Dead man have no use for coin.
> Leave it... I mean... it's pretty stupid to leave it, but hey. I guess it is moral or something?

You sigh. You know you're being an idiot, but you close the jar with the sac of coins untouched, moving to head out of the door, you take one last look at the room. Then walk out to the street with your things in a bag, shutting the door. What to do.
You...

> Take a carriage North of this town.
> Take a carriage South of this town.
> Stay here, on the streets, for a couple days.
> Try your hand at thievery.

With what money you have left, you decide to pay fare for a ride North.
Though the carriage driver doesn't specify exactly where up North, he does mention how cold it'll be as you board and settle in. A few hours into your journey, and the landscape still hasn't changed too much. Aside from more wild animals and less houses, it is all the same- grassy hills. You decide to turn your attention from the boring view to the inside of the carriage. Looking around, you spot something that grabs your attention- a small hidden compartment under the opposite seating.
You...

> Crouch down and peek into it.
> Ignore it.
> Go back to looking at the landscape, boring as it is.

You peak inside, and find...
Just a small bottle of rum. Nothing very exciting, though it is something you haven't tried before... you know what it is, from both the smell and the label. Looking around, you'd remember that you're in a carriage and no one else can see you. You think.
You...

> Open the bottle and have a taste.
> Leave it be.
> Pack it in your bag for later.
