[Nationstates] The 35th Kogatan Series

Throughout the Kōtei period, Kogata's national sports focused on martial arts, with judo and sumo being the country's two most popular. However in the 1960s, the foreign game of baseball spread to Kogata, and caught on unlike anyone could have predicted. Nowadays it is the unofficial sport of Kogata, and enjoyed by millions of fans. Today marks the beginning of the 35th Kogatan Series, a championship featuring the Kogatan Baseball League's most popular teams.

I felt that Nationstates roleplay was a little dead at the moment, so I decided to make a quick roleplay to allow our leaders to get to know one another a little better. Essentially, Kogata is very interested in baseball, and to celebrate the news championship games, President Taro Okada has invited all the world leaders, or their representatives, to attend the first day of the event.

If you're interested, just describe your rep/leader arriving in Kogata, and I'll guide everyone to the stadium. This roleplay really isn't about baseball by the way, rather just roleplay for the sake of roleplay.

Whoever was listed on the RSVP to the formal invitation would have been forwarded business class tickets to Kogata International Airport in Hamada, the capital. From there, limousines would be prepared to drive representatives and leaders to a hotel, and then to the new Sokoda Stadium. Upon reaching the stadium, reps and leaders would be guided to a lounge area equipped with full catering, a free bar, a vip view of the games, and anything else you could ask for.

Councilmember Jacques Chevett, the only high ranking official in the Tarcheyan government who has interest in sports, arrives on a commercial flight with his personal assistant and his son Samuel.

Three council members of the military portion arrives, also on a commercial flight. The three generals wear formal military clothing before settling in a hotel where they change to a more civilian attire. They would meet with other representatives of other nations and would begin to mingle.

All three Tarcheyan representatives would be escorted by friendly Kogatan officials to cabs and limousines bound to one of the nearby hotels, all of which are of a high standard. Here the Tarcheyans would be left to do as they please, ie. eat, wash, rest, relax, though they are expected to be at the stadium in two hours. Of course, no one is holding the reps hostage, and they may explore as they see fit.

( Ah right, well, as I said in response to RedBlock, your reps would be given ample time to get into more comfortable wear, eat, y'know, whatever. Though they are expected to attend the event at the stadium where President Okada is waiting )

A Kron jet would be readied and would eventually arrive in Kogata's capital Airport, carrying the representative and a small delegation.

A small crowd of hostesses, clad in professional uniforms consisting of white blouses, blue blazers, and a pencil skirt, approach Talmont and his group. The most beautiful of the crowd steps forward, introducing herself as Hizano Miyuki.

"Hello, most honourable and esteemed Delegate" she begins, bowing in time with her posse of similarly dressed coworkers.

"President Okada has trusted us with welcoming you to Kogata, and ensuring that your stay here meets all your expectations. He has additionally made the request that you arrive prior to the other representatives. Your bags will be delivered to your hotel of stay, and there are facilities at the stadium should you feel the need to freshen up" she chimes with a curt nod, awaiting confirmation.

The wise old Arslan would smile at the polite and professional welcoming party, bowing back to them respectfully in the Kogatan manner, before answering to Hizano;

''Tzal, orduc jakmalhn. I am most honored that Mr.President Okada would give such intention to me and my modest delegation. We are looking forwards to spectating this grand Kogatan cultural sport. I am sure there is much to learn about our esteemed ally's culture in such an auspicious occasion. Well then, if everything will be taken care of, I assume we will be taken directly to the stadium, Mrs. Miyuki?''

Arslan would ask, a curious look on his face.

Hizano nods quickly and turns to her own crowd, snapping her fingers once. Immediately the other attendants relieve the Kronean gentlemen of any luggage, coats, etc. allowing them to walk freely. Then, taking the lead, Hizano would guide the conglomerate out of the terminal and towards several limousines headed towards the stadium. Once the Kronean company are seated, Hizano and her company of stewardesses stand sentry at the corner of the drive.

"The driver shall take you all to Sokoda Stadium, enjoy your stay!" she cheers once last time, accompanied by an uproar of friendly farewells from the rest of her group.

The limousine would pull away and enter central Hamada, a bright and polished city that looks of money. The streets are recently paved, the pavement is clean of gum and other residue, and the city breathes an air of professionalism. After some 20 minutes in the car, the car would pull up to the back entrance of Sokoda Stadium, where President Okada stands smoking, out of the public's view. Some 30 feet behind him is a mass of men in suits, all watching both Arslan and his posse carefully.

"At last, my friends arrive! Hah! I was getting bored" jeers Okada as the limousine door is opened.

Attending the sporting event from Zanala would be Princess Laisa, Princess Royal of the Constitutional Monarchy of Zanala.

Princess Laisa would arrive shortly before the event, accompanied by royal guards and attendants, via private jet.

Councilman Chevett bows in Tarcheyan fashion to President Okada. His personal assistant stands with Samuel, telling him things about Kogata.

I swear it was in great words! *he would say jokingly, smiling in a jovial manner.* ''I must thank you again for your invitation, mr. President. I am quite agreeably impatient to see a match of this sport in the company of our Zhao friends.''

Meanwhile, his own delegation would respectfully stand back, their hands clearly visible as a manner of respect and security formalities.

Okada approaches with a confident swagger to his step, flicking his cigarette off to the side as he bows before completing the handshake.

"Mmm, a pleasure to meet you as well, glad you could make it on such short notice" he says shortly, his voice tough like old leather. "Please, follow my entourage up the fire-escape to the lounge, it's not overly fancy I know, but it is better than getting through the front entrance" he assures, giving Arslan a final firm handshake before walking past him to greet the other guests.

A somewhat fat, although well dressed, Kogatan man rushes to the royal jet as it opens its door, waving a small wad of papers to grab the attention of the Princess. A few seconds later a large limousine would pull up behind him, "Uhh hai, I come to uhh, doraibu you uh berry fast to sportsu stadiumu" he encourages, nodding in quick succession.

President Okada bows before Chevett, exchanging pleasantries before his attention is drawn to the assistant and Samuel. He raises a brow and cracks a cocky smile, "So, you like sport, eh?" he'd chuckle. Turning to look back at his suited entourage he shouts, "Yamaguchi, watashi ni sono bōru o nageru!", and is promptly thrown a ball signed in Kogatan characters. Okada tosses the ball to Samuel, "Treasure it, it is worth a great deal!" he says, cracking another smile.

Stepping away from Chevett and company after exchanging short goodbyes, Okada turns to the generals, bowing in turn. "Please, follow my men up to the suite and lounge, you shall find a manner of food and other goods await you".

Samuel hands the ball to the assistant, who puts it in his briefcase to keep it safe. The boy looks shy, and cannot thank Okada, as he doesn't speak (*whatever English is called*).

Delegation consisting of seven, mostly young representatives of main Kindarian noble families arrived at Hamada airport accompanied with small suite of friends, relatives and assistants. They carry boxes of exclusive Kindarian cigars as a present to president Okada and kotei Ichiro as well as carefully selected jewelry made of pearls, white gold and malachite for female members of their families.

His Majesty King with his wife has arrived later that day directly at a hotel. It turned out they came three days in advance, incognito by economy class and spent their time sightseeing before joining the rest of delegation.

Both councilmen do as they're told, with the motivation of exotic foods and goods. They speak between each other, but then gives their thanks to the workers for their guide.

Princess Laisa would curtsey and enter the limo, as instructed, proceeding to the stadium to meet up with all the representatives at the game.

Okada bids the councilmen farewell and turns to the larger crowd, "If you would all make your way upstairs, we can catch the start of the game, I will have my men wait here for any late arrivals!" he announces, strolling through the group, and into the stadium.
