• the Chimeran Assembly was held, Sammaru's representatives being four champions of a gaming tournament.
• Lina Fontes, one of Sammaru's representatives, had approached the Five in a Pogleya Council, proposing a deal offered to her by the Chicanistan president.
• President Okada was hit by a flashbang after sending a threatening letter to the Cearaiin Dragons

CARTEL RAID GONE WRONG

in an attempt to destroy the source of the infamous and huge "Ganja Cult," a widespread cartel that regularly and blatantly disrespects the Lei das Ruas, key members of the Gwang-Ubeyon Consortium had ordered an airstrike on a civilian block, resulting in a great deal of civilian deaths, and failing to kill the leader of the Ganja Cult, who escaped alive.

the boss of Gwang-Ubeyon has deemed this strike necessary. however, citizen unrest was great in the following years, prompting former Pagala Rider Diarmund Leighanach to challenge the Gwang-Ubeyon boss to a single match in a fighting game.
when the Gwang-Ubeyon boss lost this match, he was forced to give in to terms that are yet unreleased. Diarmund promised the public the terms would add to the Lei das Ruas, and be for the security of Sammaru.

the other Four have had mixed reactions, with members alternately disapproving, refusing to comment, or supporting Diarmund's terms.

• Jungdu entered ancestral Sioti lands, incurring controversy from Sioti groups within Sammaru
• rumors of widespread deforestation in Sioti lands have increased the controversy, leading the Cearaiin Dragons to start campaigning for full war against Jungdu
• huge movements of Old Saeguerran armies are seen marching through the old territory, getting uncomfortably close to Sammaru, and shooting any ruffian they find. it is theorized that they were displaced from their military bases by the Jungdu conquest of their lands.
• Representative Ikja loses his cool in the midst of a council meeting, getting stressed from the Jungdu incursion on Saeguerra.

NUCLEAR POWER CROWDFUNDING?

as one of the oldest power plants in Sammaru crumbles, Juliana Makena-Yoshikawa, together with her roommate Lina, start up a project to build a new nuclear power plant in the hills outside Sammaru. using their sponsorship money, along with support from the Chicanistan Government and Los Sangreverdes, they managed to pool together a good percentage of the necessary funds, relying on crowdfunding, rigorous campaigning, and volunteer construction to finally finish the power plant, which now operates at top quality. research is currently underway to see if said reactor can be converted into an MSR

• Jungdu's expansion reaches Sammari borders, now controlling all of the ancestral Sioti homeland. tensions run very high, with numerous disputes at the border.
• Saeguerran armies begin invading both Sammari and Jungdu territory, sparking an increase in military from Sammaru
• tensions continue to rise high.

DRAGONS IN MOURNING

Sean Cearaiin, a man known for his reckless courage during Sammaru's war of independence, and his later work in fostering friendly relations across the city, has been killed in a controversial border incident.

while the plan had been to propose a system of mutual benefit, and an alliance where the Jungdu Empire and Kado-Kintu Sammaru worked to eradicate the Saeguerran threat, the plan had gone wrong when Sean was shot in the face by Jungdu soldiers, the gory aftermath sent from his phone to his wife and kids:

Tanwen, Braith, and Tiana Cearaiin.

Tanwen was reported to have wailed loudly in her home upon receiving the news, shouting multiple expletives, before exiting the house, leaving to an abandoned junkyard while carrying a shotgun. she had apparently taken out her anger on some old tires for a few minutes.

thousands of sammari citizens attended the funeral, marching in a long procession through the streets, wearing black and waving flags bearing the tartan of Cearaiin.

Tanwen has released an official statement that she and her family would like to be left alone during these trying times.


the Holy Jungdu Empire, meanwhile, has pushed the story that Sean Cearaiin had led a terror attack at the Jungdu borders,
though oddly enough, while the Jungdu story claims a surprise attack with multiple well-equipped soldiers and two tanks,
the record of the casualties of the attackers do not match up with the Sammari reports of the aftermath of the incident,

which cites Sean as the only known Sammari casualty.

the Jungdu empire has gathered their forces at Sammari borders.

nearly every member of The Five, and all affiliated gangs, have retreated from the Sammari border, holing up in strategic locations in the territories, but still a considerable distance from the Jungdu border.

production of military aircraft has increased in manufacturing plants owned by The Five, and the Gwang-Ubeyon Consortium has been placing up recruitment posters for able-bodied pilots.
