Hello friends! September is upon us, and with that comes a new Newsletter with many large changes!
[ SERVER UPDATES ]
EVENTS,
The Server Campaign, Nettled Eyes in Dreary Fables, has reached its end. Many thanks to the DMs who helped make this possible, including Somnastra, Elz, Solus, Reedie, and IceandFire. A full summary thread is to come, and any further inquiries can be made in the FAQ threads or in an Event Ticket on the forums!
[ x ] For the foreseeable future, the Events Team will be focusing solely on Event Requests. Please see the thread here for further info. [ x ]
LORE,
Lore has had quite the large shift this month, with the change of guard in our Lore Master. Currently, the team is focusing into project based groups to lead changes in the coming days. Expect further info and announcements. Arget Istalri, Somnastra, and CloakedReaper join officially as Arcane Team and Lore Team. The entire Admin team will be aiding in Lore in various ways.

DIVINE,
The Divine staff are managing some IRL things at the moment, so responses to tickets might be slow for a little while. We ask for patience and understanding while we work through tickets, artifacts, and rank-ups.
In August the team reviewed eight successful rank-ups and would like to congratulate those players for their hard work! Spell lists are still being relooked at and reworked where necessary, with Jishrim being the next list to get some attention. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please open a ticket, or use the Divine Convention Discord if you're already in there for questions about spells or mechanics!
ARCANE,
August, like the months before it, was a busy one for the Arcane Team! Despite the absence of Ced (MossyMorel), the team has performed admirably over the month, approving a total of Fifteen Custom Spell Submissions, seven Arcane Rank up Requests, as well as seven knacks, whether for new or returning mages, or alterations to existing ones.
Volatile base grimoire spells were reworked to allow them to be cast without the need of a foci, giving our Volatile Eviscists more versatility in their casting! The Telepathy half of Cogimency saw its long awaited update for its grimoire spells. With Cogimency’s rebalance completed, the team is beginning to move onto Animancy, with the help of our Arcane Hands.
TagTeamChampion (the one writing this thrilling blurb) has officially taken the reigns as Arcane Head. It is my hope we can work towards the best possible version of the Arcane System; I thank you all for your support and patience thus far as we iron out the creases and fill in the gaps.
SERVER OUTREACH,
Server Outreach is in the current process of hiring new staff members, to help organize ourselves better and make some goals with individuals who have autonomy over projects. The following are being hired:
[ x ] Whitelisting (EVERYONE), a required role.
[ x ] Spawn Assistant - someone specifically required to help run the OOC and IC basings of the Landing. This includes the Council needs, any OOC issues with the houses, the SL Daily weekly assignments, events held in the Landing, and updates that occur.
[ x ] Forum Assistant - Someone who is in charge of making sure the Forum Team and the Forums run cleanly as we transition in this new period. This also includes the monthly newsletter.
[ x ] New Player Associate - This person is responsible for the New Player Experience, and helping out with explaining systems, educating, and getting new players oriented.
[ x ] Event DMs - As many as possible, we would like to have routine and probable events take place for new players during the week, and at random times. This is in tandem with the Events Team.
[ x ] Suggestions & General Queries (EVERYONE) - the team is meant to be the face of HW, and helping represent it as such is important. Answering suggestions, coming up with ideas, and solutions for the server is your main job behind everything else.

GENERAL;
As we head into fall, we look forward to the many new players, ideas, and stories that are to be told. There is so much to do here in HW, and as we continue to grow and evolve the staff team thanks you for your patience, your kindness, and thoughtfulness towards the future.
Beyond this, some new Lore things are on the way, further updates to SO, as well as a deeper look into Arcane. Player submissions are always welcome as we continue - in any form. Be it ideas, suggestions, or more.
We thank you for the continued success of HW, and for many more months to come.

To get an idea of some of the ongoing occurrences of Altera, be sure to visit the rumour thread [here]! Here's a brief overview;
- Construction work is taking place on a mass project just north of Eldpoint. . -
- The Landing's quiet shipyard is interrupted by a grunted shout. Blood left puddled by a poor cart. The murder was quick and controlled it seems, some blood trailing to the alleyway nearby before the trail goes dry. A warning.... But for who? -
- It is said that a large fire burns from Candlewood, the bodies of the dead burning. The area begins to be cleaned. Candlewood is secure once more. -
[ CHALLENGES ]
For the month of September, we will be doing a "Best RP Highlight" or "Town Showcase" - either or. Give us your best and brightest moments in a flashy style! Perhaps some artsy screenshots, or a video trailer to be featured on the social media? Show us how your character celebrates their day - or maybe hangs out at the tavern after!
Give us what you've got, in some form of creative media.
The best and the brightest will win radiants, a special little item, and some vote tokens!
