7 - He fended off a demonic assault from The White Tower.
While he was indisposed in another battle, Aleksei's tower was attacked. He fended them off, and rewarded one of his followers for their service in defending it before his arrival.

8 - Aleksei made Astrakhan submit to him as a protectorate.
For fleeing the battlefield, Aleksei forced the leader of Astrakhan to submit to him as a protectorate and become apart of his lawful realm.

9 - Aleksei participated in another battle of The Second War of Ash and Lich.
A group of Astrakhan soldiers that fled from the first battle were trapped. Aleksei mounted a rescue, assailing them and leading the assault.

11 - He financed the construction of another church dedicated to Ignis Synnove.
The Chapel of Saint Valerie du Everaux, The Unmoved. In dedication to his dead inquisitor.

12 - He captured and attempted to exorcise Melarue.
It failed. Not for fault of his own, but for the strength of the demon within her. Now with it weakened, he shall not fail a second time.

For most of Aleksei’s life, he only had one true friend. James Harrister, Knight of the Kaiserwache. James died before Aleksei could complete his training, but after elevating Aleksei above the level of a common serf. James’s Kaiserwache armor became Aleksei’s own. Aleksei disgraced the armor doing many vile, cruel acts while protected by it, hiding the ugly scars of his face. Now he has moved on from that point in his life, and the sacrificing of the armor to God is symbolically burning that bridge, giving up the last of that dark time in his life and returning the armor to the dead.

Describe the two most prominent relevant deeds they've done since their last rank up.
In a final charge against the Ivory King, he joined in to storm the castle killing demons, who have nothing left to lose but to fight until death. Eventually, he entered the throne room and was one of the few who directly charged the Ivory King, and later he sneakily stabbed the Ivory Prince. This would inevitably cause his death after he was thrown away and couldn’t dodge his attacks. [x]

He successfully flanked the fort of demons singlehandedly by taking over a corner tower and piercing through the last line of defense with only two daggers on him. This allowed the allies at the gate to attack Scorch directly and with the last line of defense taken out, he stabbed Scorch in the back. [x]

– Armament {Link}
Jorvun fought at the Fall of the Cathedral, suffering grievous wounds whilst in combat against the archangel of Evil and in his efforts to save civilians and healers from falling rubble. He also used magic to help ease the refugees’ panic, and counter the Jishrimites’ mind-alterations. With blades and spells, he aided in the archangel’s initial defeat, and once again in his weaker iteration, after it separated itself in thirds.

– The Last Spire {Link}
An ambitious operation was undertaken by blessed warriors and magic-wielders; death was narrowly evaded on several occasions as a daemonic army besieged them. After slaying a significant portion of the enemy forces, a general arrived and put their martial skills to the test once more. The Alterans escaped before they were overwhelmed by reinforcements, but their mission was a success.

– Riders of Onora {Link}
After receiving word of disappearances along the highroads, Jorvun rode south to ask for help in finding those responsible. A daemonic sect was found within an abandoned temple, and its occupants were put to the sword. Some time later, fighting ensued in the deadlands as the cultist, that Jorvun mercifully spared, set out to raze Onora to the ground. The warrior drove off or killed the sect’s remnants, but failed to save the settlements. Later, he traveled around the countryside with Jaden Seeker to return the lost ones’ belongings to their families.


The character must have earnest and genuine faith to their Divine.
Jorvun is truly devoted to Valiant, arguably too much at times, even if religion is not as much of a crutch as it used to be.


Evidence of a more unique understanding and outlook towards their own faith.
To Jorvun, "Fester not thy body to disrepair" holds a special, particular meaning—Don't you dare die of old age.
To his chagrin, war against the immoral is not merely a chapter in his story, but rather- a way of life. He has thus accepted that his will be short. He finds solace in the belief that this is the fate bestowed upon him by Valiant, and that all will be resolved in the end, by His will.

In the outskirts of Storm's Landing, Jorvun held a profound conversation with Connor Hayden about the nature of war, and shared some knowledge on the practical aspects of it that the scholar would not have learned about through mere reading. In return, Connor taught academic subjects to the warrior that were otherwise unavailable to him, such as history and the foundational basics of alchemy.

Jorvun entered Hell with a detachment of fighters to clear the path between the portals and the Ivory King’s citadel. An arduous battle was fought while a fearsome siege engine pummeled the walls. The legion was soundly vanquished—the prelude for the final encounter.

– Eclipse {Link}
As the fragments of the Angel of Life's essence coalesced, an abomination was summoned by Jishrim, threatening to impede on their righteous task. Alongside other warriors, he protected the Sisterhood temple, defeating it with steel and fire.

– Strung & Strained {Link}
In the arid heath to the south of the Hakiaz swamps, word had spread of a daemon wreaking havoc upon vulnerable towns. With his skill in horsemanship and his allies’ coordinated attacks, Jorvun and other Alteran heroes defeated the giant demon. He also casted divine spells to ease the pain of the injured after the battle, and helped the survivors find shelter in Storm’s Landing.

– Frozen Garden {Link}
Along with other blessed and heroes of Altera, he ventured across the tundra to recover the last fragment of Life, enduring a treacherous landscape, imposing beasts, and an unforgiving cold.

– Crimson Cries {Link}
Another battle, this one beyond the Rift itself. An officer of the infernal armies had drawn Jorvun and his fellow combatants into the hellish wilderness, and assailed them with waves of lesser daemonic pawns. Although the subordinates were all killed, and the officer was debilitated, it was far from a decisive victory—the Alterans withdrew to regather.


[To Great Lengths]
They must showcase ten additional instances of significance in the name of their Divine. These should be of importance, be it through protecting a group, hunting down something of significance, the poisoning of a town, or some other action. Why these actions are considered significant should also be added to your logs, how your character personally feels them necessary or important.

– Hell Raising {Link}
The blessed made another incursion into the fiendish world, however an encounter with a camp full of ‘Underlin’ miners and guards led to a dilemma among the Alteran contingent. Some wanted to respect the fiends’ boundaries, but Jorvun declared them enemies of the realm, and initiated the offense against the mining camp. A hard-fought victory, which proved to be worthwhile, as it disrupted the Ivory King’s supply lines by raiding valuable gems and ores.

– The Ivory King {Link}
Altera’s forces advanced into the battered gates of the Ivory King, and saw to his end, though not before encountering some resistance in the castle courtyard. Jorvun provided aid to his allies in the conflict, then stood guard over freed captives until the war’s conclusion.

– A Blood Pilgrimage {Link}
A continuation of his campaign against the Mad One. A place of worship dedicated to the Spider and one of his warlords, Kralak, was found and then raided. Several injuries were sustained, but the expedition proved to be a breakthrough in the war against Jishrim’s adherents.

– The Coming Storm {Link}
A hellspawn general announced her arrival in the Storm’s Landing farmland, and made a gruesome display of her execution of mortal prisoners. She evaded capture, and punished the Alterans’ attempts with near-lethal wounds, but Jorvun and others decimated her soldiers.

– A Threat Posed
Some time after the skirmish, the greyling Gwyrthiol began to preach about undeath, claiming it was the preferable fate for those that fell. Adamantly against the meddling of the Soul Stealer, Jorvun confronted the lich and imposed disconcerting visions on him, sharing the memory of defeating Branko in single combat. He did this in hopes of dissuading him from Skraag’s religion; Gwyrthiol fled in a panic and abandoned a crossbow, which has since remained in Jorvun’s possession, as an offering for the future.

– Enmity {Link}
A heated dispute arose when Freia’s playful magic tricks earned a very confrontational warning - bordering on threat - from the inquisitor Leonhardt, which Jorvun found to be excessively hostile. Understanding the point of contention - arcane casting and its effects on the Veil - but disapproving of the measures taken against it, he sought a prudent compromise with the use of words. The discourse between him and the Synnovan devolved into shouted threats unfortunately, even having [Unworthy] cast on him for standing his ground rather than concede. Old antipathy was rekindled, an enemy made, but Jorvun’s resistance bespoke his advocacy for forbearance rather than intolerant belligerence.

– Buds & Blossoms {Link}
Whilst his companions hastened to gather valuable materials in the Blackrush highlands, south of the river, a gryphon ambushed them, killing one of their mounts. Injuries on the adventurers themselves were prevented, as Jorvun successfully repelled the beast with his sword and spells.

– Heads in the Clouds {Link}
During a trip to collect medicinal herbs in the northern mountains, a pack of wolves befell Jorvun and his friends. Though one of them, Quill, sustained an injury, the beasts were eventually successfully fended off or slain through their collaborative effort.

– Statecraft
In the turbulent times following the advent of Mortan, unease arose between the city-state of Blackrush and the Kalstaat; preachers and heretics differed greatly in their stances regarding magic, only exacerbating the already convoluted politics of the North. As Lord Regent and a disciple of the Valiant Order, Jorvun arranged a meeting with the Kaiser and his retainers to deliberate ethics, the principles behind the arcane, and potential alliances. A gift was also given—a carriage full of dried and salted meats, from the shepherd's own herds, to bolster the food stores that had been drastically depleted. The discussion ended with the two leaders on good terms, easing relations between themselves and their respective nations.

– In Response
After a heathen defaced the sword monument in Blackrush, Jorvun cast [Divination] to seek insight from his patron in order to aid with his investigation. For some time he questioned people across different regions, hunting for whoever was responsible. His wish was not to (necessarily) punish, but to understand the misconceptions from which this hatred for the god was born. The search ended up inconclusive however, as the culprit perished.

For most of Aleksei’s life, he only had one true friend. James Harrister, Knight of the Kaiserwache. James died before Aleksei could complete his training, but after elevating Aleksei above the level of a common serf. James’s Kaiserwache armor became Aleksei’s own. Aleksei disgraced the armor doing many vile, cruel acts while protected by it, hiding the ugly scars of his face. Now he has moved on from that point in his life, and the sacrificing of the armor to God is symbolically burning that bridge, giving up the last of that dark time in his life and returning the armor to the dead.

This has been into battle, whether that is fighting vyres, in battles against proper armies, or otherwise; and has held either full faith in the man or has tried to save him, demonstrating over and over again her beliefs not only within the tenets of Ignis of remaining truthful and holding high regards to those graced by her Light, but in her own personal beliefs and interpretation of the faith; as a bastion of light against darkness, as all of her engagements in combat have been against those deemed 'dark' in nature, morally or otherwise. II. Was granted the ability to conduct a lawful proceeding linked here, in which she attempted to offer redemption to both a murderer and a duo of poachers of Emberlarks. The murderer was not granted redemption and was executed promptly by Amicia, and the poachers were thus granted redemption and assigned to assist in the repopulation of Emberlarks, a bird that Amicia views as symbolic towards Ignis.

It is on one of his regular hunts that he senses something strange and out of place in the wilderness. He finds that as he scours the lands for his own quarry, something is watching him in turn. It's a little too quiet, but he keeps himself alert and before too long he glimpses the glimmer of silver in a distant treeline. A wolf, white of pelt with unnerving silver eyes that seem to reflect the light. It shares but a glance with him before it is out of view, and as he feels a surge of adrenaline, he moves to where it last was. It leads him only to the traces of his quarry, what remains of it after the wolf beat him to it. The adrenaline shifts to a strength, for Jerr'co is now T1 of Theodra.

Drystam through prayer will find them go unanswered. One night they are met with lovely fragrance before sleeping. A dream reflecting what they have done... And a feeling of it not being enough. Their dream shifts to a heart made of glass. The heart being empty till someone goes along and fills it part way. And seems in Drystam's hand it a pitcher full and capable... But they need to fill the heart with their own hands. A feeling of a significant piece of dedication to their faith given. They wake up unchanged but shown what needs to be done. ​

We would like to see one significant act from something driven by Drystam directly. Generally speaking attempts to proselytize (especially if unsuccessful) or other conversation-level deeds are not going to be significant enough to count towards rank-ups.

One night of tending to graves. Taking some time to pray. There is a purple mist that comes in. There is a sense of going down the right path. But a cold emptiness fills them. In pursuit of finding truth, has allocated herself between the Inquisition and Mages, to figure out the facts of a situation and to not let any personal bias or belief or misviewed truth intervene with her sight. This is a consistent theme of Amicia, keeping an open ear and open heart to those most would not think of.
V. Has opted to begin care for an Emberlark, a bird viewed as symbolic to Ignis.
VI. During a trial, opted to physically pursue an attempted escape from the one being held at trial. Although she failed in such an attempt, it was an attempt regardless. Event linked here.

As she walks the paths of Ashstadt, she glances sidelong to the way the sun glints from the lake. Whilst she admires it for being peaceful, she finds herself focusing on what appears to be the glimmer of a horse flickering in the light moving off into the distance, until she has to blink and it is gone. It gives her pause, before she considers how the light on the water does not make her so much as squint, today. The sun itself warms her entire body equally not just exposed arms and face, which does not discomfort her but instead assures her of her Goddess' presence. For the rest of the day she will find glints of gold within any flame. Amicia is now T1 of Ignis. ​

The next time she prays to Sallana, she finds that there is an echo of song, the faint traces of distant music that is only audible to her own ears. She swears within it she can hear the voice of a loved one, before something distracts her. A single red rose grows and blooms before her, as if from the air itself within arm's reach, and she feels compelled to touch it. Upon doing so, it fades away but she feels as if it becomes part of her instead, a flicker of power bestowed by the Goddess. For the next several days, however, she will find a creative itch that seems hard to shake, be it through music, dance, painting, or some other creative outlet. Lirio is now T1 of Sallana.

  • 9/28/2022 - Fought in a battle against a group of Feral Vyre, under the command of Aleksei Ivanov. Faced off against a Vyre and, in combat; killed the feral Vyre swiftly and efficiently, sustaining no injuries as a result. DMed by Elz
  • 10/1/2022 - Fought in the battle against the forces under the leadership of Branko. While not much fighting at all was done on Azuran's end, he sought to defend his allies- and get his people out without further injuries. Said retreat was successful, and Azuran considers this to be a minor feat, if anything.
  • 10/1/2022 - Defended the White Tower against the invading Demonic forces. Lead the Vanguard until such a point that Aleksei arrived to do so himself. It is one day during training that he finds one of the soldiers he spars with seems unfamiliar. Not in a manner he would feel intimidated by, but they seem odd, like they have an age to their expression and mannerisms that their body does not. As they spar he seems too calm, and too good to be as new as the others. In fact, he ultimately bests Azuran and even if their swords are not live steel, he finds a cut appears upon his hand or forearm. When he looks to it, the red shimmers strangely, and for a moment he has foreign memories of a battleground, of a war he does not recall being part of. When his gaze returns to the one who inflicted this wound, they are replaced with a familiar face of someone they do recognise but who seems to be waiting for Azuran to begin, as if the spar prior never happened. Azuran feels a newfound strength, and is now T1 of Valiant.

Inspired by the sights of others dedicating spaces to their gods, Amelie set up a tucked away shrine in the name of visage.​

After encountering those who claimed worship shouldn’t be openly paraded, Amelie has taken to misleading others who question where her devotion lays to other gods such as Ignis.​

As all great figures in life have their journey’s documented, she had began documenting her feats within a journal for future generations​

The first weapon Amelie made, a stiletto dagger (At cathedral in spawn/landing)​

Upon one of her regular excursions to the ruins of the Storm's Landing cathedral, she notices what appears to be a man sitting in one of the pews. Curiousity lures her nearer, for he seems entirely unfamiliar, and as she gets closer she can see he is reading a book, but the words themselves seem to move and change to the point she cannot understand them. Then, he closes the book and looks to her, black of hair and blue of eye, to offer her a smile that seems both genuine and not at the same time. Unnervingly, he compliments her on her latest journal entry, before he stands and turns, putting his back to her to depart. Then he looks back to her, face entirely different and with brown hair and green eyes instead. He says his farewells, but congratulates her on the 'beginning of her journey' before he leaves entirely. The moment he is out of sight she feels a shiver run down her spine that settles in her chest with a strange sort of power. Amelie is now T1 of Visage.​
