And that's why I said what I did earlier, because it's always some selfish, looting guy taking this stuff and skedaddling away.
The guy who took the loot made further risk by attacking a literal godslayer who can fell mortals without issue if it really wanted to.
If that's selfish I really worry.

Just to give a minor on the bit Cap said, it is a little bit ironic that the weapon of a goddess against unnecesary bloodshed is going to be used as mostly a weapon for all manner of bloodshed.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Everyone here is always about "Weapons, weapons, weapons and how we can use them and get advantages over others" but never think about

"Wait, what am doing, this guy's GOD just died on front of him."

So we should leave behind a weapon that can stop the gods from being killed because a god was killed?

My point is that it's always the same kind of people who take this stuff all the time and show no signs of guilt, change, nor sympathy.

It's the exact story I was trying to tell when I was Shadow Rider.

"For some reason, no one ever grows nor thinks about their actions. People just take and take and aren't sorry for it. They never change until someone takes something from THEM then they get angry and take it back. Then it becomes an endless cycle of everything being hated and stolen."

The things here weren't just looted, they were specifically taken by Anhald which intends to reforge them into usable weapons to defend the next god that the campaign antagonist chooses to kill.

I'm also defending these actions OOC when the character I played at this event was opposed to looting and specifically said that the weapons were powerful artifacts to be left alone.

RP would be boring if everyone played law-abiding citizens. I'd rather go outside and follow traffic laws if I wanted that in RP.

So your point is based on generalization and assumption of righteous moral obligation, instead of knowing what the people had in store for those weapons, which is to hurt the creature that killed the god where normal weapons can't, which you would know if you were there. So we're back to our original points and have gone nowhere.

I'm not taking it into ooc, I'm saying "So why does no one ever have a character that struggles and thinks about this instead of-"

"OH SHIT ITS A OP WEAPON, YOINK!"

did you know more loot got taken by the people that actually worshipped the god and will likely either die with it or leave it to dust

But that's not considerate, that's "Hey let's use this relic and use it against our foe because we have to."

Yes but what that means is everyone just acts the same all the time and never try to change for themselves. No one ever struggles with the choices they made.
thats not necessarily true. we must just RP in different circles, i've seen folk who RP out their characters struggling to cope with actions, or rather justifying them by any means necessary so that they don't have to accept the alternative. perhaps it just speaks volumes about the differing RP circles on HW.
