War Two - Capture the Flag - 2nd Feb 10pm GMT

Houses that are still playing through the GoC by this point will participate in a 'Capture the flag' Game, hosted in Heavens Reach (Now named Galo Gulch).

Galo Gulch
This city was once large, beautiful and bustling full of life and people. Unfortunately with such a mass of people, a twisted idea began to form. They started to worship a God that does not safeguard Altera. The Church intervened with dramatic results, the citizens of the grand city eventually disappeared, this wonder soon becoming forgotten to Altera..

Rumours started and strange things were seen stalking around the city, but what could anyone do? During the day there were horrible and ferocious monsters stalking the streets like guards patrolling, at night they became even stronger and fierce, being able to hear people entering the docks. The shipping to the city was cancelled and the town declared too dangerous to enter.

What a perfect challenge to show your strength to gain the Crown.

Steps:

  1. Houses will gather at the gates to Galo Gulch, and organise their teams into numbers and their classes.

  2. Houses will send in a scouting team of 8 members to search the city 20 minutes before the main event. There will be less monsters at this time, but scouts cannot pick up flags.

  3. Scouts will report back to their House leader/higher up. House leaders can then decide what to do next with how many soldiers they send in to remove the tainted worshippers from Galo Gulch.

  4. The False God Worshippers can only be removed by removing the cursed tablets of the False God (the flags, if you're not catching on), the monsters have been reported to be able to be killed, but they return eventually.

  5. Showing their skills in a one-sided battle against a horrifying foe, the winning House will be recognised as a formidible force.

Jumbled explanation: A scouting team from each house will enter Galo Gulch, the teams need to investigate the city RP-wise, this will be done 10-20 minutes before the proper event. So once they find either 1: a worshipper, or 2: a flag, they need to return to their teams. These scouts will be followed by Overseers, they cannot pretend to RP investigate to return faster. Once a team has returned and explained what they found, the leaders can send in Team 1 and 2 (or more if they have the members) to try take the flags.

The flags need to be given to the Leader of the Seekers, DarkAbsorber, who will be standing at the Galo Gulch docks and can remove the taint from the objects which will allow the church of Altera to enter and destroy the rest of the monsters (who will be underpowered since the fragments are removed).

If we have as big of a turnout as the last war, I suspect there'd be more players than that many teams, but it might have to be a thing figured out on the day. There is more than one entrance, so I might be splitting houses into two groups (or more, always depending on the turnout) towards different gates.

General game plan: Players are placed at selected spots outside the city and must find 'flags'. They must collect the flag and flee the city, bringing the item to a GoC official at the Docks. If players die, they cannot return, the ship to the Galo will be sealed off until the event ends. As with the previous battle, only mercs/unofficial house alliances and paid houses/alliances can enter. Once a player finds a flag, they must hold it in their hands and rely on their friends for defense... or run for the hills. This is a survival of the fittest!

Winnings: Each flag will reward your house with 1000 points.

Awesome Prize: Winners will get a balloon to the Eastern Frontier in the town of their choice.

Rules

No flying. No respawns. No items.

You can investigate Galo Gulch before this battle, feel free to even draw out maps and make battle plans.

Do not bring anything to the battle, equipment will be supplied depending on the class you choose. Don't worry, it'll be made easy for you and your teams.

Houses will send in teams of 8, if most of the team die, the remaining players can return to their 'gate' to rejoin another team.

The Teams can stay in the City for as long as they survive or as long as the Game is running. The game will end when all players are dead or when all the 10 flags are collected. Player names will be collected before the battle, so anyone found sneaking into the game will be slain on sight.

Classes

With teams of 8, players will need to decide how to distribute the power between the players, teams can only have 4 fighters, any number of archers, alchemists and/or healers.

Archer: normal speed potion, Iron armour, bow and arrows
Fighter: Diamond sword, Diamond armour, strength potion
Alchemist: 2 slow splash potions, 3 Harming splash potions, Iron armour
Healer: 3 splash healing potions, 2 Regen splash potions, iron armor

Co-ordination around Galo Gulch will depend entirely upon the 'leaders' of the groups or the House leaders. The Monsters will be stalking along the roads, be careful. Players can restock their supplies if they manage to return to their camp/gate. (This is for restocking potions/arrows)

Questions incoming!
SO:
When a player gets a flag, are they allowed to give it to other people? (I.E. could a person toss a flag to a more heavily armored team mate to help ensure it gets through?)
When a player takes the flag and flees the city, are they allowed to return to the battle, or are they done?
What happens to a flag when a player dies?

Ah I forget: Yes questions are welcome, I want some good player/staff input here.

And yes, Flags can get passed on, but not stacked onto 1 player.

Players can return once they give the flag to the GoC Official.

Most likely drop, either the plugin will be changed or we'll be using enchanted hoes :p

Not this time! x_x I was tempted because this will seem like a "Run for your lives!" kinda fight.. but it'd make the fight too easy to spam enderpearls, grab the flags and get out :p

Ok, Congif worldguard this time so we wont have this issue!
Or use command blocks that remove ender pearls.
OR make it so that enderpearls confer infinite damage upon teleportation. ( a much more fun option in my opinion)
That would be funny. You see a little ender pearl go by and then BOOM someone dies right in front of you!

And would totally remove the issue of punishment, because it becomes in the players best interests to not use them.

i'm the wench if you're the cake ;)
Also Questions~

How large are the teams? Is there a player limit?

How long will it last?

Make invisibility potions into harm II potions so your just drinking poison :) (If you want my ideas to be your Mistress they are totally single)

If the same houses/number of players enter again, I'm thinking there'll been teams of 8 (Idea from legion). The game will end when everyone dies or when all the flags have been captured

Teams of 8 at one time, where other members reinforce as the ones in the field die.
If you wanna do this for sure, you should say so, because it will require a manager for each House/team/alliance to manage when people go in.
