For him to be in the Champion Games, we need to know how he's related to someone that is considered "Nobility". And if we have to ask how he's related to our family, I'm pretty sure that's a flashing red light that something is off here.

Alternatively, the dude served the Acturian/Lavoyard emperors for three generations, and mentored Barthelemy. Hmn. Also owns land, a la Riseport, but that's due mostly to a lack of anyone else wanting a place so caustic and he kind of just moved in.
