I love the idea of initial quests. You could also add a rank below Kings Hand (maybe as a stepping stone to Kings Hand?) which functions as a sort of guide (maybe literally have the title of Guide, or perhaps Traveller?) for new players. They just generally answer the questions of all new players and help them out with finding their way around, which means they wont be bugging the Kings Hands and Kings for help Just a thought

haha no because some players don't want to be involved with the running of the server (lazy so-and-so's ). Perhaps just ask all those who you would consider for kings hand to do it (and their allowed to turn it down obviously ), and if you feel they go above and beyond the call of duty, or are particularly good with new players, or if you simply just trust them a lot, promote them from there?
