Forje
Lord of Altera
About You!
1. What is your Minecraft username?
My username is Forje.
2. How old are you?
I'm 18 years old.
3. What country are you from?
I'm from the USA.
4. Have you read the King's Law, Code of Conducts, Official Lore, and the Player Guides yet?
Yes, I have (but there's a lot of lore so I'm still working on getting through a bit of it here and there, haha).
5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
Metagaming is the use of out of character knowledge or information that you as the player might have but your character doesn't in order to gain an advantage in any situation. Powergaming is when one player plays in such a way as to make their character do things that are impossible/incredibly implausible or forces actions onto another player in such a way that they can't fairly interact in the RP.
6. Do we allow X-Raying mods or X-Ray texture packs on the server?
Nope!
7. Name one of our current Mentors.
One mentor is 223hero7 (223Hero7).
8. Tell us about yourself!
Well, I guess I'd start by mentioning that I'm a pretty big fan of The Strokes when it comes to music. Bands that give off that garage-rock sound tend to be in my wheelhouse. I play basketball and I'm a big fan of your traditional sports and stuff, but I've gotten into eSports and all that as of the last year or two (go Echo Fox!). I'm really into film and making short films and writing scripts for stuff like that is a hobby of mine. I'm always down to talk about and criticize movies, but I'm a bit of a harsh critic, I think.
9. Do you have any examples of your work?
I'd rather not share my stuff, sorry!
10. Did anyone refer you? If not, how did you find our server?
I don't really know how I found the server, I joined for the first time about five years ago, more or less. It was a really long time ago when I was really pretty young, back when the age limit was actually 13, I think. That, or my math is off.

And breathing hard, he ran with his sister away from the bandits who were running them down, the same that had killed their parents years ago. Revenge wouldn't be served today, but they swore that one day -
"No, that's just... Boring. Plain, and too sad. No one who could read would ever find this good." With a sigh, Sonia puts the quill back in the inkwell with a small drop, visibly a bit frustrated. With a short glance out the inn's window, it's obvious the time of this Blessday is passing by quicker and quicker. After a brief pause, she takes the paper into her hand, before promptly tearing it up.
"If I don't write something that might sell, or at least generate interest..." Another brief pause, would be followed by her standing up, and promptly turning to head to the door. Passing by the messy bed and the heap of a nightgown that was worn the night before, the room would otherwise seem plain. Her belongings are either strewn about the room, or simply resting in a small satchel-like bag, such as small bits of mostly attractive, yet hardly valuable, jewelry which matches her dress, which is the same in nature - seemingly far fancier than it actually is.
The door to the room would open upon her reaching it, and would just as quickly close behind her as she passes through the threshold.
She'd pace slowly down the hall to the staircase sitting at the end, listening to the events occurring in each room she passes. Some are silent, some loud, and none the same in emotion, and each easy to eavesdrop on due to the thin doors. Sonia smiles, amused by how unintentionally public every conversation became by simply passing by.
Heading down the stairs, she'd murmur quietly to herself. "Maybe I need to send a letter to father... Things aren't quiet going right. I'd rather not leave so early, but..." Reaching the main room of the inn, she'd head directly to the door, feeling the sun as she leaves the dim interior the main room.
The town in front of her is nothing short of bustling, seemingly full of energy and, to an extent, optimistic glee. This, however, would bring a frown to her face. She'd take a step out into the town, visibly annoyed. She'd follow the street, down towards the market, listening, searching for something. With every step, it seems like she's trying to find something new. However, this doesn't change the expression of distaste pasted on her face.
"Maybe I'll bloody find it... Just a shame that this is the best plac-" She'd stumble, nearly tripping. No one would notice, help, nor comment. She'd stop upon recovering her balance. Angrily mumbling, she'd spit out, "The Divine curse this damned city!"
She'd continue on her way, still moving, though a bit quicker now, with a final whisper to herself. "If only I knew inspiration would've been this damn troubling to find..."
Current Setting of the Server:
As the last galleys pull into port from the Northern Kingdoms, so too do they mark the end of the Exodus. A dark and desperate chapter in Altera's history.
The undead swarms had battered us, and the Sea of Storms had bruised us, yet here we were, alive. Alive in a brave new frontier to the east, and the flickering embers of our dying lands were now kindling the fires of new civilization, in a land of opportunity, vast and boundless.
Now, for the first time in a long time, there is hope. Hope of a new chapter, a new beginning and a clean slate. Yet there is also fear. Fear of the land unknown, and the danger untold. There is fear that, in spreading the light, we draw the ire of what lies in the shadows. In this new land, it even seems as if demons and the explainable come out to play.
But no matter the opinions on the subject, there is one thing that may be said for certain.
Life on Altera was about to change
and it seems pretty dank.
