NinjaGerbil
Legend of Altera
About you
1) What is your MINECRAFT username?
NinjaGerbil
2) How old are you?
16 - Will turn 17 in August![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/smile.png)
3) Where are you?
England!
4) Have you read our guides yet?
(Edited) I have been steadily working my way through the lore, magic and races that this world has to offer. The calendar's certainly interesting; and I really like the idea that the ending year numbers give a different year name, along with the Half and Full Hollow celebrations. It's also excellent that additional information has been given to the normal Minecraft potions, which no doubt helps to stop people from overusing them in the RP. As for the different races, the detailed culture, history and developed languages intrigue me greatly - I simply love the Forest Elves (and I may consider making a second character as one)!
As for magic, while I did my best to read and understand it still confuses me quite a bit. My character certainly won't be meddling with any forms of magic for a long while at least.
And so many Gods... It'll take a while to memorise them all, but I'll try! ^-^;
5) Introduce yourself!
I'm a college student; having just completed a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care, and just applying for the Level 3 Diploma. While some have quite flattered me by calling me intelligent, I prefer practical work to theory-based study, and spend a lot of my spare time doing practical things such as art and baking. As such, Art was one of my favourite school subject, but I also loved English and still do - I have a Wattpad account and like to spend time reading or writing stories. In college my favourite part was 100% the practical work - whether it was cuddling tarantulas, taming ferrets or cleaning out rabbit pens I always enjoyed my time with the animals, and still do at home training and cuddling my own pair of ninja gerbils!![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/smile.png)
Apart from my hobbies and playing Minecraft, I like to play a lot of animal based games, WolfQuest (hunt, explore and raise cubs as a wolf) was a big favourite for me a few years back along with I, Predator (predator vs prey animal madness!). Even recently I bought a game called Shelter 2 - a game where you play as a lynx and raise cubs while avoiding dangers and bigger predators - and I love it to bits. Animals are really my passion, no matter where I am or what I'm doing.
6) Got any examples of your work?
I don't have pictures, unfortunately, but I have work on other servers I'm quite proud of.
As requested, these servers will remain unnamed, but here is just a bit the work I have done in the past:
- A large, several floor hotel with 3 pools, a casino, archery, parkour, several more activity rooms and 50 guest rooms, and a massive airship at the top named the Led Zeppelin.
- A plot specially dedicated to pixel art, including designs such as a hunger games Mockingjay Pin, several Pokemon, My Little Pony character Portraits, a Doctor Who TARDIS and the 9th, 10th and 11th Doctors, and most recent of all a Splatoon inkling and squid.
- A party plot which was previously an easter egg hunt and is now a summer beach party with a huge ocean to explore, from a mermaid castle to a deep ocean abyss with shipwrecks, sharks and a giant squid.
- And a Build Shop which offers my building and pixel art services to others. With a complete 100% No Grief policy I am quite proud of this one, as I have never griefed or intended to grief anyone.
7) Did you explore our world prior to your application?
Yes, the starting introduction is (as I am still completing it now) is a wonderful experience; as I have never been on a Minecraft RPG server before it was certainly a warm welcome to it! I love the idea of Quests too - I'll certainly be completing as many of those as I can!
(Edited) I completed the introduction and have been steadily wandering around the world's many places, also taking note of towns and villages in the thread and making sure to visit those. I am currently in the icy town of Myrneth... where I cannot find the Dock Master, and am a little bit on the stuck side...

About your character
Name: Celeste Nightraven
Age: 18
Race: Human
Appearance:
A kind-looking, young pale-skinned maiden with long brown hair that, while thick and can easily become a messy tangled mane, is quite attractive when styled. Her eyes are a gentle cornflower blue, and her dress matches accordingly: a pale blue garment with a white underneath and gold trimmings. Golden bracelets adorn her wrists, and a beautiful golden chain is around the girl's neck.
Looking closer, there are a few things you note about the girl; her eyes have the tired and weary look of a person who has spent many a night busy without sleep, be it with worry, travelling or work. Her hands are unusually worn, the maiden having spent a large portion of her life turning taps, moving barrels and serving drinks to person after person after person. And last but not least, a scar on her arm, thin as thread and white as silk. It makes you curious as to what caused it.

The test
To help us give your application the seal of approval we'd like to see an example of your role playing skill. This is an opportunity for us to see your story telling skills and also get to know your character's thoughts and mannerisms. Both of these things are really important to us!

Celeste flicked through her notebook, her foot tapping idly as she stood in front of the large spruce-wood barrel. She had worked in The Black Lion inn for almost a year now, and she knew the list of alcohol well as she turned to the correct page. Yes, her memory was correct; the whiskey was finally aged to perfection. As she attached a note to the barrel reading "Ready For Import/Sale", footsteps creaked on the wooden floorboards behind her and instinctively, protectively, she turned around.
"Relax lass, it's only me!" Sirus said, a strong smell of gin coming from him. "You could've gone home hours ago, y'know".
"I assure you, Sir, I need to work as much as I can. Besides, I prefer working at night anyways." Celeste replied cordially to the tavern owner, moving to the next barrel of alcohol and checking the notebook.
"I see." Sirus muttered, a hand fumbling in his pocket. "Good thing you did stay late, I suppose; I wanted to give this to you". In his hand he held a pouch, which as Celeste took and looked inside an immeasurable amount of delight spread across her face. "I know you've been saving to get a ticket on board some ship, so this should be enough and a good few coins more. All the extra hours you do have certainly paid off".
"T-thank you so much..." Celeste said, clutching the pouch to her chest and shivering half with cold and half with excitement. At last, the time had finally come! Sirus smiled, clearly amused by the girl's reaction, and patting her on the shoulder he asked,
"Well, what are you waiting for"?
Without a moment's hesitation Celeste dashed out of the cellar door, calling a hasty "Goodbye, Sir! Thank you!" as she hurried into the dimly lit street. A few minutes later she was back at her home, a tiny little room in an alley. With one hand still clutching the pouch she grabbed a leather bag and packed in it her few belongings- she hadn't felt this giddy since her unannounced departure from home. With a smile Celeste left a few coins on her beside table; enough to pay for the rent when the landlord came knocking, pulled on a grey cloak and pulled the hood over her head before walking away from the place for the last time.
By the time morning came; Celeste was already on a ship headed eastbound. She didn't know where she was headed or what she would do when she got there, but hope and happiness filled her heart. She was free.
