I don't even know exactly why I drew a face..... I just did.... In an interesting way too, at first just drawing the eye, then deciding to draw the nose... Then the rest just followed >.>

I don't think it's that bad, but it's just me. see what you think!

It was a test of shading more then anything, as well as checking what human face is actually shaped like (I mean face, not head). As much as I felt like completing the rest of the head, when I started it, there is the point where you draw the first line and you know "This will be wrong". When you get to that point, the best thing to do is just leave the picture for later

As I said, not yet. I want to be sure I can draw both genders to similar quality, and of any race. I'm sure I will start doing requests in future, but all you can see here is me slowly learning. You asking makes me feel great though, so thanks! ^_^

All right! Yet another take on the opposite gender to my own
This one got a little bit better, and you may see it coloured, however it's still very, very far from perfect or at least the quality of men I draw................
Anyway, I will never get over the hair... ever...... I just cannot draw long hair D:
Hair actually got me more problems then the eyes, and I couldn't just have made her bold unless she was to have cancer... No that wouldn't work either! There'd be nothing to make her bold... X-rays weren't around.... Damn you, lack of skills!!!!!!!!!

Protip for anyone actually reading this thread: It is interesting to note down something I like to call "Second Look Criticism". When you first look at the picture you just drew, it looks amazing. If you are unsure weather that is true, leave the picture be for about an hour. Forget about it. Then come back to it and look again. You will notice the quality drop, or increase, accordingly

I feel like I need to reanimate this thread with an interesting thing about shading. I drew a Dwarf, and I am really happy about how it came out, but I have two save files, just as a comparison between shadowed drawing and a drawing with no shadows. The results are rather interesting...

This one has no shadows or background...

And this one does have shadows and background.

I have found this on my old Windows files... Very old and drawn with a mouse, but I remember being so proud of that... I'm not even sure weather I could repeat its quality with a tablet T_T
Somehow back then I got into my head that if I can draw a beautiful sunset I can draw anything... Don't ask why...

The horizon is incorrect, it should be perfectly straight, but there is nothing I can do about that any more. :/

On a little side note, tell me which direction do you think the nose is, because when I looked at it at first, it looked like the nose was to the right, so I changed the direction of the brow, which in turn made it look like it was facing left! :I
