Fair enough error on the Culture, then. Originally, I was planning on it only being 5, but then I decided that if Religion and Defense were going to require 10, then so should Culture.

Thats fine, I should have looked at the rules on the first page. It's my fault.
Brogan, guys, You can't claim territories with things you already used to claim...

Unless i'm wrong? @Lord_Sinclair
Also could I have some clarification on this as its not very clear in the first page to me at least whether this is true or not.

Well, I suppose the best way to explain it is that it's as if you're reclaiming all the territories (OOC) every time you place a claim.

If you claim 2 territories in week one, then gain enough points for another 2 territories, you may now hold 4 territories in addition to your original one. The key word in that is "one" rather than "ones".

Does that help any?

So if I have 30 DF in week one and claim 3 territories and then the next week have 40 DF I will only be able to claim 1 territory in week 2 as I have already claimed 3 territories in week 1?

Yup. Your /total/ amount of territories can augment with your Defence Forces.

To make it very clearly;
Military points you had already used to claim provinces can't be used again to claim new provinces. Capiche? : )

EDIT: Sniped... Dernit!

yes. each territory requires at least ten of one specific thing. 10 DF gets you 1 new territory; 10 Religiousness gets you another territory and so on, same goes with culture. not sure how it would work if you lost ten of a specific thing like DF

If you lose Religious/Cultural, i'm pretty sure you lose those territories. However, if you lose DF, i'm not sure you lose them.

If you lose Religiousness/Cutlure/Defense points, yes, you must theoretically lose territory to compensate.

However, I do not believe this will be a common occurrence. Typically, it is difficult to lose Defense and Culture points that you have already gained. It is possible to lose Religiousness, but it is also entirely possible that by the time you lose points in Religiousness, your Defense and Culture points will rise high enough to compensate for the loss.

Also, I don't intend to implement a strict "if you lose points, you lose the territory" sort of policy. Instead, I encourage nations that face this situation to RP a civil war, civil unrest, or some other destabilizing RP scenario.
