Not nessecarily. While you are correct in your thought process it is not incorrect, the naming would be more along the lines of fins due to people not want to get them mixed up with land dwellers, since both have a tail, but only one has fins.

So I went out to lake Erie, the closest lake to me, to find out if syrie were real. I took along my waterproof camera just in case I saw something...and I did.

I am never going near the lake ever again...

Truthully, I never imagined them like this O_O
They look....strange. And very much TOO much like leggeds.
But...if that's what they look like...

I always thought of something more....imaginable.
My thoughts was like a monofin, but the middle bit sort of split, with scales around it.
The middle bit ripped up to the kneecaps (for a legged).
So it'd take pratice, but it's still alright for a Duo to walk on land.

That's what I thought anyway...hard to describe.

Guys, you're all forgetting that was drawn by Sally when nobody really knew what a duo fin looked like. Now however, the legs would be flatter, straighter, and less human.
