Reluctantly, they agreed to hear the hostage's supposed crimes, and came up with a verdict accordingly despite their personal reservations. With the Judge seemingly pleased, they released the two hostages and called upon two members to take their place. Raelur Fen'Shal and Leonhardt stepped forward to be hung at the gallows. They awaited an end that didn't come, as the trapdoors beneath them didn't open as the lever was pulled, another vile ploy at their expense. The Judge made a hasty departure, but kept the others who held the boulders above the hostages to stay, requiring the Realmsguard to persuade or coerce the men above to step down peacefully to let the hostages go.
