EDIT 4: From the guide, there is a difference between condensing claims into one claim, and making sub-regions. If you plan on using the plots from one region to add on to another and form one region, you will only be claiming a single new location - this is condensing. If you are making sub-regions, each sub-region will be a new claim, and must be within the sphere of influence of the affiliated regions in order to be declared a sub.
Serious replies only, that are only: confirming your intent in relation to your region, submitting or relinquishing your new region claim, or directly replying to a staff question. Do not chat, do not comment, do not spam; please only post if it's one of the aforementioned options. If you are not an owner or someone responsible for a region, you should not be posting here at all. We have 120 regions to get through which is going to be hard enough without adding on top of that. If you have a question, read the guide below, then read it again, and if your question isn't answered, please PM me. Do not post questions in this thread.
a) If you are a region owner and you have other responsible (for the region), decision making parties, please talk to them privately and come to a group decision prior to posting your responses here. Likewise, if you are a responsible, decision making party for a region that you don't own, speak to the owner privately first. Do not use this thread to hold those discussions, do it privately.
b) Locate your relevant region/s in this thread.
c) Confirm that the intent we have recorded is correct. If you have asked for a refund, confirm we have the right focus recorded: Radiant focus (120% money, 110% resources) or resource focus (120% resources, 110% money). If we have you down as unknown, make up your mind. The intents are taken directly from this thread, (read the thread for more in-depth explanations) and have been individually colour coded. Options are:
1) Destroy region, get refund, making a new claim.
2) Destroy region, get refund, not making a new claim.
3) Making partial build copies
4) Copying over full region.
( No one has picked options 5) Selling region and 6) Other)
If the region is in pink or partially in pink, it means you haven't specified your intent, or have only partly specified it (generally, you've asked for a refund but haven't stated what focus you want).
If the region is in yellow, it means either the region has been destroyed or it is a server region.
Once a region has completed the process (refund, new claim if applicable, builds copied if applicable), staff will change it to blue.
d) If you have chosen option 2, and are not making a new claim; quote the relevant region info;
e) If you have chosen option 1, 3, or 4, this means you will need to make a new claim.
f) If you haven't done already, choose a location on the new map that you would like to claim. Find that location on the dynmap and the attached, gridded map. The gridded map has a scale; 1 pixel = 1 plot = 16 x 16 blocks (please note, that scale might not be accurate on other maps, but I have double checked for this one). There are region samples down the bottom showing spheres of influence for regions with 50 plots up to 1000 plots. The region samples are correctly scaled to the map. The region samples are also using square regions, which I know will not always be the case but will give you a fair indication.
g) Note down the general coordinates on the dynamp, and the affected grids on the gridded map. As an example, spawn on the new map is affected BK46-47. I'm asking for this as, again, 120 regions to deal with, and it's going to assist us with monitoring potential conflicts. Use the map, keep it to scale. If you have a claim of 200 plots, your sphere of influence will take up roughly 9 grids (with a relatively square, even region). If you have a claim of 500 plots, your sphere of influence is taking up about 25 grids. Don't go crazy.
h) Use an image editor to show us the claim on the map. It doesn't have to show the entire map, but the relevant part and enough so that we can clearly see where it is. Remember; scale. Guys, you can take a screen shot of the map and use Paint to make a mark. You can use Photoshop or Paint.net (recommended as free and easy to use for simple things like this) to transpose the relevant region sample onto the gridded map; if you do this, it'd be fantastic, because if not, I'm probably going to have to do it anyway and hassle you for confirmation. If you're looking to transpose a region sample and need to pick a size, round to the nearest 100 plots, whether that be up or down. If you're exactly halfway, round up.
i) Quote the relevant region info
Someone has nabbed my spot! What do I do? If someone has claimed the area you want to claim, that's okay; you are able to nominate for the same area. If you feel comfortable, we ask that you start up a private discussion and try to resolve the conflict amicably and in a friendly manner. Do not use this thread for that discussion. If you do not feel comfortable or if the matter can't be resolved civilly, don't push or force the issue; approach staff privately and will assist with mediation and coming up with a resolution, via private discussion.
What happens if I can't make up my mind about my claim before the deadline? That's ok; you don't have to. It just means you'll end up being like everyone else; first in, best dressed, and your priority ranking goes out the window.
What happens if I can't make up my mind about what I want to do with my region? If you do nothing, we do nothing. It will get to the point after we've actually moved across to the new map where we'll name a cut off date, and once we reach that point, it'll be no more transfers, no more refunds, no more anything except for tears and regret.
CUT OFF DATE: August 2nd. Please have your replies posted by then. If we're still working through conflict after that, that's ok, but we need some sort of confirmation reply before then. You might get a poke after that before we cut off completely, but if you haven't replied by August 2nd, your ranking will go down the gurgler.
EDIT 1: Imgur was changing the map format because the file was too large. Split version to keep resolution:
EDIT 2: If you're posting some sort of confirmation, I'll acknowledge it with a like as opposed to filling the thread with more posts.
EDIT 3: For anyone that's interested, plotting the claims as we go along. Map here (don't use that map for plotting anything, the file size is large and imgur makes it screwy) and grid system here.
