What do the current Houses think about opening their current cities to organised open battles? It's been suggested that they can wage wars and bet 'points' on the winnings.

That sounds awesome! Would there be a punishment for declining a battle? And would there be rules against traps? I can just imagine:
Enemies arrive at the gates
Hear piston sounds
2 minutes of falling
Hit the floor and die
????
Profit

I remember I went on a LAN server and my friend and I had God armor and we were both making elaborate tnt traps, fall traps etc. And we both took forever to kille each other. Highly enchanted God armor is equivalent to having a transformer in the medieval era... This battle is going to be based purely on who has more God Armor rather than who has more players on their side.

this is true...but isnt it also true that wars were like that too? Its always who has more.

Yeah I just wanted to point out it won't really matter how many mercenaries or people to pay to fight for your house. Its going to be mostly on who has better armor.
