5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
Metagaming is using Out of Character (OOC) information In Character (IC). This could be as simple as saying someone's name before someone tells you IRP to as serious as using troop movements or other info you see on the forums and use it to avoid them or plan an attack when you and your faction wouldn't know IRP
Powergaming is making a character that cannot be beaten in any situation and has too many good traits and/or to few negative traits to balance it out or they force emotes for other people. These people are very enjoyable to roleplay with.

No, certainly not.

8. Tell us about yourself!
I love to play rock and metal music and currently play in bands and take lessons at the School of Rock. I play piano, bass guitar, some guitar, and a little accordion. I play Skyrim, Quake, Unreal Tournament, the Jedi Knight series, and several of the Assassin's Creed games, among other things. I have a pet black cat named Merlin. I am Homeschooled and have been since 6th grade. I enjoy Science and History along with music, video games, and Boy Scouts, among other things.

I found it when looking for good medieval fantasy minecraft roleplay servers. However, I saw some names I recognized from other servers afterwords when browsing the forums, specifically StarWillow2000 and PotatoLion.

Robert has fairly long, brown hair and a full beard and brown eyes. He is 6'2" tall and 145 lbs. He tends to wear a green cloak and leather vest over a white shirt and occasionally wears chainmail beneath that.

Robert wakes up in his tent, and, seeing it was the early morn, he cooks his breakfast and gathers his pack full of supplies and fresh meat, packs up his tent and blanket, and heads on through the forest. He sees movement ahead of him and crouches down in the bushes and sneaks around. He sees that it was an elk ahead of him and he then drew his bow and sent his prayers to Theodora and shoots, hitting the elk in the throat killing it quickly. He goes to the corpse and starts to separate the pelt from the meat and the meat from the bones with his small hunting dagger. As he did all this, he saw a grey animal moving quickly in the corner of his eye, and he immediately realized it was a wolf, but at that point he only had enough time to turn halfway around before the wolf pounced and bit onto his left arm. Luckily, he was right handed and he was able to kill the wolf with his dagger by stabbing it in the back of the throat, but the damage was already done to his arm. He bandaged the wound quickly with a strip of cloth, finished skinning and dressing the elk and wolf and he then left the site and set up camp quickly as he could. He started a fire and cooked a venison stew and re-bandaged his arm whenever he bled through.
A day later, Robert walks into a small village on the fringe of the forests, a heavy leather pack on his back over his quiver and bow. He has dirt and small flecks of dried blood on his arms, hands, and face and his beard is longer and less well-kept than normal. the cut had healed a bit in the 1 day of travel and 2 nights of rest it had taken him to get back to town. He then walks into the towns small butcher shop and sees a familiar man at the counter, as he had traded in this town a few times in the past.
The butcher greets him: "Ah, Robert, back from another hunting trip I see! What do you have for sale." Robert responds "20 pounds of venison, 5 pounds of elk, and a pound or so of rabbit."
The butcher nods "That seems to be quite an exemplary haul. I'd pay you finely for it. But, if I may ask, what is that fresh cut on you're arm from." *Robert looks at the large cut*"Oh, that is from a wolf that pounced me whilst I was hunting it. Luckily it was alone, as killing it alone was quite difficult. It is still quite bad though, only a day or old."
The butcher replies "That is quite the tale, I am glad to hear you survived. Now, as for our business, I would give you, eh 200 radiants." Robert counters: "250 and we have a deal." The butcher responds "250 is acceptable, you have a deal." *they shake on the agreement.* "Farewell," says Robert, "I will probably be back in a few more weeks with more wares."
The butcher waves him farewell and Robert leaves the shop, heading to the weapons dealer where he buys more arrows and a new short sword with a large potion of the money he learned and some leather and pelts he had gathered from the animals. When he leaves the shop he looks at the sword and things to himself 'Well, this will be better for defense against wolves, bandits, and other worse things that roam the woods'. He then heads to the tavern and rents a room for the night, where he washes off and trims his beard before going down to get an ale at the counter. He drinks several glasses, and listens to other men's tales and tells his own. At a late hour he stumbles up to his room and goes to sleep until the early morn. He then awakes, gathers his things, and leaves the inn, going out for another hunt, as his routine had gone for the past 7 years.
Current Setting of the Server:
As the last galleys pull into port from the Northern Kingdoms, so too do they mark the end of the Exodus. A dark and desperate chapter in Altera's history.
The undead swarms had battered us, and the Sea of Storms had bruised us, yet here we were, alive. Alive in a brave new frontier to the east, and the flickering embers of our dying lands were now kindling the fires of new civilization, in a land of opportunity, vast and boundless.
Now, for the first time in a long time, there is hope. Hope of a new chapter, a new beginning and a clean slate. Yet there is also fear. Fear of the land unknown, and the danger untold. There is fear that, in spreading the light, we draw the ire of what lies in the shadows.
But no matter the opinions on the subject, there is one thing that may be said for certain.
