5. In your own words, how would you define metagaming and powergaming?
Metagaming - Metagaming is using information you have gained from outside a game you are playing and then using it to your advantage. An example is your friend in rp combat, msging you on skype "Come help me at spawn!" and you then tp to spawn and rush to his aid. This sort of thing is what breaks and ruins roleplay.
Powergaming - Powergaming is when you do a certain act which is outside the boundries of what your character is actually able to do. An example of this is when someone goes to send a thrust towards you with his longsword and you, instead of doing a simple parry or deflection, do a backflip, throwing a dagger at him mid air. It is also this sort of thing which makes rp combat a massive pain as children play and don't want to lose.

(Introduce yourself! Tell us some of your hobbies, what kind of music you like, other games you play, maybe any pets you have. We're not asking for anything too personal, but we would like to get to know you a bit better to help the application and transition. This question needs to be a minimum of five sentences and not focused on Minecraft.) I am a Welsh 17 year old who enjoys videogames and martial arts. I've done Karate, Muay thai and Krav maga and desperately want to do H.E.M.A. Other games I enjoy are The Witcher 3, Oblivion and Skyrim and Fifa (Jk, I'm not that batty).

Piero has black hair and greyish blue eyes. He has a small and shallow beard with wraps around his mouth and goes down to his chin. His skin is slightly tanned and looks healthy. His physique is average, having muscles the size of a part-time athlete and his frame is also average. He is well groomed, bathing, having his hair and nails cut. His typical clothing is a black vest with faint stylings. He wears a linen shirt underneath, wrapped up to just below the sides of his shoulders. He wears grey trousers and black leather shoes of good quality. He also wears a black cap with folds over to the side.

Piero da Montafeltro was born to his father, Fiore and mother, Maria. They were born South, in a relatively warm climate. His mother and father's families both sold wine for most their history, the two families joining with his mother and father, their inherited lands being shared between them. They both amassed a small wealth by selling their wines locally and across long distances by ship, becoming respected amongst those of a small village near their vineyard. Piero grew up learning logistics, maths and other things necessary for running a business. Having a private tutor teach his the essentials of life and living. Piero was interested in running his business as he got older, but also wanted to gain more skills, longsword and rapier fencing being his main skill he wished to learn. He also wanted to learn how to ride horses and his parents had no problem with the idea, although the tax on their land grew as a local Lord started to become greedy. The business being one of the biggest in the area, so it being the Lord's main target. After around 3 years of his family worrying when the taxes will be raised and their money being drained, they eventually had to sell their business or risk losing it for nothing. His parents moved on to set up a small vineyard further south and Piero had to choose where he was to go. His mother had become pregnant a few weeks before and Piero decided to allow his younger brother or sister to inherit the lands. He went to the village's market and bought himself a black gambeson and a iron broadsword, it's weight distribution being far to near the top and it's blade bending relatively easy when thrusting or put under stress. Then, he prepared for a journey further North is search for a rapier of longsword fencer to instruct him and a home to live in. Apon his journey North on a carriage, highwaymen had setup an ambush along the road. 3 men came out the bushes, stopping the carriage and moving to the back, where the seating was for those aboard and kept their belongings. Although Piero's sword was of poor quality, to Piero, it was a prized possession, due to his wanting to become a fencer. As the 1 of the highwaymen, kept his eye on the driver, the other got to untying the horse's reigns and attachments to the carriage, 3rd man walked to the back of the carriage with his wooden club with iron studs covering it in his hand. He barked at everyone to get of the carriage, as they all did but as Piero jumped down, he told Piero to unbuckle his belt which was being hung to by his sword's scabbard. Piero was already in a small state of panic, complying to unbuckle the belt but before he dropped it on the floor, he went into a state of "Fight or Flight". Piero did the stupid move and quickly drew the broadsword, holding it's handle with two hands, holding onto the pommel with his left hand due to the handle being to small and threw himself towards the man, sword raised in the air. The highwayman, although wasn't trained to fence, had fought before and had a relatively clear mind. He swing his club to the left, stepping to the right as he did to clear Piero's broadsword. The club connected with the left side of Piero's head, causing his sword which had just begun it's decent before hand to gain terrible blade alignment and was dropped to the floor as Piero hit the ground, barely conscious. Due to the fact that the highwaymen are humans with intact brains and not psychopaths, they left Piero in the dirt. They stole the carriage's horse and all the belongings on the carriage and in Piero's pockets. They left his sword though, since it was of terrible quality. The group set up a fire, nursing Piero as he was in pain from the hit. The next day, the group moved on, a purple bruise on the side of Piero's face. This travelling happened for a day and a half, arriving at a town and Piero stayed there, since he had no money and started to look for a job. (Hopefully it's 400 words now)
