Adam Filonsky, adorned in his ceremonious suit of plate armor would stand. His helmet open currently as to allow him a clear and projecting voice. Adam and Mellanera was near his own desk, Samantha having been given a quick briefing.
"We of God Send and Corvermell come gathered today to give announcement. There has been showings of warcrimes in Legisa, crimes that resulted in pure genocide to civilians. This included men, women, and children of non-combat oriented areas. Entire religious festivals blown apart and stopped using lethal fire. Reports are included from Vermellans who had been inside of the country in the times as well as the very reports and encounters that God Send's Engineer Corps had seen.
Strictly speaking, we believe a large sum of innocents were harmed in these actions, an even larger sum was killed. The "Lions of Legisa" were used as well when the actual Legisan Military couldn't preform these war crimes. Yet the soldiers of God Send's Engineering Corps had made reports that those inside of the Legisan Military were heard to refer to these 'vigilantes' as heroes of their nation. More than once had they heard comment of how they wished they could work also within their groups."
Adam would then give a gesture towards Tali.

“as he was saying, we learned of this genocide early, through the reports of our citizens. the full of the reports will be made publicly available, for the sake of fact-checking, and i will merely summarize them all. short and sweet!
first to note is our beginning suspicions, that all was not as it seemed. before the Lions of Legisa were founded, we began to receive reports from a number of our citizens, who had opted to travel to Legisa. you know, business trips, pleasure trips, et cetera. these reports mainly regarded the large degree of disrespect by which they were treated while abroad. harassment, slurs, denial of service, it was made very clear to them that they were not wanted here, no matter how legitimate their passports. many times, in fact, our people were mistaken for the migrants, having the common racial slur of “chekna” used against them. some returned home with injuries, inflicted during the more… violent cases of mistaken identity.
if you were not previously aware, “chekna” is a racial slur, specifically used against the migrants. means, “troublesome.” we started getting concerned about the effects of this racial enmity against the intended target, and by that, I mean the migrants, obviously!
we started to get concerned for them after the reports began to show various sorts of propaganda that was used in the streets in order to recruit citizens into the military. they are, well, “
she shows a still image upon the screen. it appears to have been taken with a phone. it shows a poster on the wall, advertizing to “join in the fight” and “kick them back home.” the “them” in particular is an unflattering caricature of one of the migrants, being shown the proverbial door by an armed soldier, proudly bearing the banner of legisa, his head illuminated by a stylized sunbeam. it’s rather corny.
“this is the mildest of the propaganda, which seemed to create quite an effect in the patriotic populace, who, it was reported, would line up in the hundreds to be enlisted. with such fervor towards war, needless slaughter typically follows, as we learned when we decided to follow up on these findings with an… investigation.”

“we had managed to successfully intercept two instances of radio communication between two army captains. they’ll be playing in a bit.” the recording plays, and she stays silent as it plays.

“we found news articles relating to these two instances. the ‘sector’ that was to have ‘any and all of foreign descent removed’ was a residential area, suspected to be the location of a covert weapons stash. the weapons were not found, and only a few handguns were confiscated in the attempt. over a hundred so-called ‘hostiles’ were killed in the operation. this next one is… particularly disturbing.” she stops, and the audio plays again.

“I don’t think you need the context for that one explained. their intent was to capture ‘Al’Zarhid’, a leading member of the migrant militia. the ‘Kriej Squadron’ is an airforce unit, which was… ordered to bomb the entire area. Al’Zarhid died, along with hundreds of civilians.”
Housekeeper Mellanera sighed, her normally sunny disposition clearly deflated.
“that is a use of force clearly unnecessary to quell a militia uprising, and the air strike alone qualifies as a genocide. obviously, after hearing that, we of Corvermell convened to decide on a solution. our decision was an economic embargo. after taking this action, we came to receive a great deal of transcripts straight from Legisa military, thanks to a currently unknown and mysterious benefactor. these transcripts were mainly useless to us, except for giving us the real names of the officers responsible for this genocide: Col Ostdenzhen, Col Uplitz, and CD Manchsh. now,
Corvermell has made their actions. before the grace of Vermella, and before the light of God, the truth is now known. it will be up to each of you, what you decide to do with this knowledge.”
and with that final statement, Housekeeper Mellanera bows, and takes her seat beside Housekeeper Galtare. Housekeeper Galtare starts whispering to Housekeeper Mellanera, too low for any others to hear.
