[NationStates] The War of Roach and Blood

Baron

Would invite annihilation. A force that could wore clan a continent would damage the planet severely.
A legion of bombers would launch from Anchorage, headed towards Curacha. Upon arrival, the hundreds of bombers would soar over the country, dropping clouds of non-Neumann nanites exclusively targeting iron and iron alloys. Within minutes, every major city and all infrastructure under the cloud would begin to dissolve into rust, the process accelerating as more rust formed. Buildings would collapse as their supports gave out, and communications equipment would shut down as it was eaten away. The iron in blood would be unaffected, it already being oxidized.

The ongoing oxidation would halt just shy of the borders of other nations and the ocean, where the nanites would simply fail to spread.

Thanks to being an underground citadel, Yauco stays away from the nanites, until they spread under. Iron I'm the blood would be affected since there is iron that hasn't been oxidized I'm the body.
The genocide of Roaches begins.

To be more specific: The nanites target iron and iron alloys, but not the specific compounds occurring in the body. Specific targeting is an established tech and was used against Red Cloud. If you built a house out of hemoglobin (ew) it'd stand the attack.

FINALLY I'VE SET IT ALL OUT IT IS LAID OUT. FINALLY

map of all the nonsense (Sincronian-Mechanican annihilation of Curacha not included):
Screen Shot 2015-04-04 at 5.46.17 PM.png

now.... to explain all the nonsense. to be short (so to speak):

GENERAL SERIES OF EVENTS
(italicized events are things that have conflicting stories on what happened. conflicting stories that should probably have something resolved about them. events tagged (void) are related to the rods hitting Corvermell, Morgnatha, and Sincronia, and because I, Gaby, pitched a fit, might be modified depending on the ultimate agreement.)
- Curachan, Mechanican ships mobilize
- Vermellan milita mobilize, take defensive action

- Roaches move to seas just above Corvermell, in a fleet going in turtle formation, with two carriers in the middle. Curacha attempted to carpet bomb Corvermell and Mechanica police, and either were successful, or were intercepted by Mechanica. (Conflicting Stories)

- Sincronia mobilized itself just outside roachen waters, in defensive position. Morgnatha stationed themselves around all ze islands. Their ships are equipped with anti-air missiles.
Duskilor sent three battlecruisers (armed w/ railguns), 6 submarines
Arcturix sent a few VIP guests onto the Admiral ship of the Sincronian fleet.

- Curacha attacks. Sincronia’s fleet, the only one venturing close to roachen mainland, was “littered” with aircraft from the mainland (apparently not, actually). Duskilor’s and Morgnatha’s fleets attacked the roachen fleet, which then defended itself.

- Tarjikstan enters, with two submarines, supporting roachen fleet by attempting to destroy any attackers. (CARRIER BATTLE BEGINS)

- Sincronian Orbital Weapons Platforms locked onto roachen spacecraft. It’s biding its time…

- Sincronia sends submarines to monitor Tarjiki submarines, warning Tarjikstan not to do anything fishy on the Serpentine Strait. Tarjikstan does not attack Sincronia.

- Mechanica sends 5 beams of light, completely vaporizing the curachan power grid in one fell swoop. Mechanica tells Curacha to surrender.

- Curacha’s sattelites fire their orbital rods onto Sincronia, and Morgnatha. Three rods, 2 on Sincronia, one on Ronasta. Reacting to Mechanica, they send out the rest of their navy into Corvermell.

- Tarjikstan confirms that the orbital rods from the Jannah station were not fired by anyone except Curacha.

- Mechanica notes the navy. They send 10 rods into major Curachan military bases. Ground troop forces down by 1/6th, Air force down by 1/8th. Mechanica sends a full fleet of 3 Supercarriers, battleships, destroyers, submarines, arriving within hours. They ask Curacha to surrender.

- Curacha does not hear Mechanica’s message. Gg mechanica.

- Sincronia points out that Curacha never actually attacked, except for the rod strike
Sincronia itself has not yet been attacked by Roach forces, at least not until your retaliation in this post. Therefore, Sincronia would not have acted in conjunction with Mechanica and thus would not have destroyed Curacha's satellite network.

Remember that Sincronia's goal is simply to prevent nuclear war, not all forms of war. So far, the war has been waged using conventional tactics, so Sincronia has had no reason to do anything but remain present as a deterrent.

You may void the strikes on Sincronia if you wish, but if you don't, Sincronia will absolutely view Curacha's actions as a first strike, and Sincronia will then proceed to wage total war upon Curacha.
- Ellathyr comments on his intact army

- Legisa locks down its borders, mobilizing its own navy. A member of Legisa’s foreign battalion speaks out against Curacha.

- because of rods, Sincronia deems this war a nuclear threat. They destroy the Curachan sattelites. The rod aimed for Sincronia apparently is dodged by their “Iron Dome” project. Sincronian fleet moves to obliterate the Curachan cities. They target industrial centers, and stockpiles of food. Air fleets engage in bombing runs on Sincronia. They contaminate the Curachan water by dumping toxic by-products.

- Peter asks if the International Space Station the Jannah is destroyed along with the whols Sattelite network.

- Ronasta, Morgnatha’s capital, is destroyed entirely. The Queen is safe.

- a Legisian private jet attempts to enter Corvermell, showing signs of peace, before being informed Sangue Lune has no airstrip, and they’re gonna have to use one from another nation. They land on a Mechanican supercarrier, and state their intent to evacuate vermellan government.

- Mechanica warns Curacha that they have one chance to surrender, or else face utter annihilation. Curacha invites destruction. The request is granted. Mechanica wrecks Curacha. With iron-rusting nanites.

CURACHAN CARRIER BATTLE:
- Duskilor fires the railguns from its battlecruisers at the roachen aircraft carriers. Tarjikstan counters, firing anti-ship missiles from their submarines. Curacha fires at Duskiloran ships, and any opposing ships. Morgnatha fires missiles at the aircraft carriers. Tarjiki subs engage Morgnathan ships. Ellathyr’s submarines intercepted the submarines. Duskilor uses seaRAM to counter them. Everyone looks at him funny, and he has to explain what those are. Tarjiki sub reinforcements arrive, and fire torpedoes at Duskiloran vessels. Dojmiri finally enters, dispatching their fleet: 2 destroyers, 4 frigates, 10 subs. They surround the Tarjiki team, and attack Duskilor. Four more Duskiloran ships arrive, and the fleet engages the Tarjiki and Roachen submarines directly, firing torpedoes at them. The fleet calls for further reinforcements. Some science-y stuff happens. Morgnatha sends three submarines to support.

RETREAT TO DUSKILOR

- Tarjiki submarines retreat with Dojmiri submarines, deploying countermeasures against torpedoes. 18 subs from both nations engage Morgnathan submarines, moving south towards Duskilor. Curacha moves to Duskilor, and decides to collide its island-sized battleships with Morgnathan ships. Duskilor fires at the carriers, seeking to sink them. The carriers hold. Curacha fires railguns at attackers, as well as aircraft and subs. The three Morgnathan subs are destroyed. A Dojmiri and a Tarjiki sub are destroyed, a second Tarjiki sub loses its torpedoes. Morgnatha sends 50 bombers to bomb enemy vessels. Curachan air force intercepts. Duskiloran support arrives, which is 2 aircraft carriers, holding 20 jet planes total, 5 stealth bombers each. The planes on the Duskiloran carriers intercepts the fleet, bombing and such.

SUBMARINES AND MINES

- the Curachan fleet, supported by Dojmiri and Tarjiki ships, is about to strike a litany of deep-sea mines in Duskiloran waters. Tarjiki subs are apparently so advanced, they can destroy mines safely. Which is what they do. Duskilor’s mines affect an area of 30 feet with their explosions.

VERMELLAN EVACUATION

- God Send sends airships and some kind of gigantic moving thing, flying out as some kind of aerial fleet, supported by naval aircraft carriers. Their intentions are for the evacuation of vermellan citizens.
-Ellathyr opens borders to vermellan refugees. They offered to send military force. (and I didn’t notice. Oops. @Jstar ya given permission. not sure it matters anymore.)
- Vermellans run the heck away from the crossfire. Mass evacuation of all the cities in Petra Veyr, Veyr-Parai, Sellivara, Gaori, Dinici, etc. Veyr-Parai airport closes down. Housekeeper Veritas Milari stays behind to protect her homeland.
- God Send’s airships begin to evacuate citizens from the densely populated cities, carrying 500 passengers per ship. 40 airships. They transported vermellans to the aforementioned gigantic moving thing. No priority on boarding, first come first serve. They were being very efficient about it all, 30 minutes max per trip. These ships are protected by fighter jets.

- Mechanican supercarrier vessels are boarding citizens from Veyr-Parai and Petra Veyr. The supercarriers are prepared to defend, and send civilians to Morgnatha.
- THE MIGRANTS FROM LEGISA detach from the country, becoming an independent force. They remain on Petra Veyr, and form their own army. The women and children migrants flee into the jungle, the migrant militia remain behind to protect Corvermell’s coasts.

so NOW EVERYTHING'S STRAIGHTENED OUT......
LET ME GO FIGURE OUT THE STATUS OF DEADLY RODS.....

"Curacha does not hear Mechanica’s message. Gg mechanica."

Hm, I thought they were still refusing surrender, since radios can be battery powered.

(I know that Duskilor has a fort in the north. Would you say a reasonable amount of time has passed for my subs to get into missile range?)

Update on tungsten rods:

There were three launched. Two of them launched down onto Sincronia to assure destruction, and one onto Morgnatha. All three rods would be launched down onto both nation's capitals. Everything should go the same as they did with only slight alterations.

Sincronia would successfully knock one rod off course (let me know if I need to provide more details on how to satisfy anyone), but the other would hit its mark. Fortunately, however, the capital of Sincronia, Civitas Aeterna, is underground, so though severe damage was suffered, complete destruction did not occur.

As with before, Sincronia would proceed to declare total war upon Curacha. The navy would move in (until Mechanica bombards, assuming that happens again), food storage would be specifically targeted, and major fresh water supplies would be contaminated with toxic byproduct (aeroplanes).

With God Send's aircraft not decimated, the airships would begin to descend towards Sangue Lune. Since they require no airstrips as they are anti-grav airships, they'd begin to EVAC any and all political members should they wish. Civilians will be lifted off secondly, or firstly if the Housekeepers wish this. The floating mass in Morgnatha is currently still standing as Morgnatha's capital was hit instead, which is several hundred miles away.

Legisa came all this way for them. only fair.

Instead of the nanite approach, MR would begin continuous bombardment from orbit of the capital city, aiming to collapse it in on itself or blow a hole in its cavern.

With no technology to counter the orbital strikes, two or three rods would be enough to collapse the citadel. The Roachen government collapses with Yauco; though, Roachen navy, air force, and marines are still to move. More abnormal kamikaze attacks occur from the Roachen military as they are disheartened by the fall of their government, but would continue to the bitter end. This means, all navy ships are still mobilizing with the Roachen air force for support. Carriers and frigates carry remaining marines. It's a sort of lightning war without communications.

(Tarjiki + Dojmiri subs are on pause until I get a response from Raith regarding the status of his coastal defences.)

The Tarjiki navy has made it through Sincronian waters. The eleven subs move to join the nine Dojmiri and seven Tarjiki submarines, but the rest of the navy remains out of railgun range of the conflict.

I'm under the assumption that my aircraft ended up using one of Mechanica's ships, I can't remember what you said @Baron so correct me and void this if you denied the Legisian aircraft.

IF the planes did land successfully, the housekeepers and High Priestess would be evacuated in the private jet, while some 300 civilians are evacuated in the cargo plane. Once the refugees are secured, the planes refuel and make their return trip to Legisa.
